Say hello to Wild — a brand-new corner of liketu.
Wild is a field guide, a sticker album, and a friendly card game, all built around one simple idea: the animals you photograph become yours to collect. Spot a bird on your walk, a fish at the aquarium, or your own cat on the windowsill — snap it, and it joins your collection. Then build a deck from your catches and duel your friends.
Here is the whole thing, from the beginning.
Catch it, and it is yours to keep
Wild is simple. Spot an animal — yes, your cat absolutely counts — and take a photo. Wild helps you name the species, you confirm it, and your catch is published to Hive and added to your personal collection.
- More than 850 species and breeds to collect, across ten animal groups — cats, dogs, garden birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, even insects.
- Every species starts as a dark silhouette and reveals its full artwork the first time anyone on liketu catches it. The very first person to catch a species is recorded as its founder, forever.
- Search and quick filters take you straight to lions, ragdolls, or sharks.
- Tabs for Latest, Following, and Trending show everyone's catches as they happen, and your own recent finds ride along in a rail right under the tabs.
Every catch is also a card
Here is the part that makes Wild more than a checklist. Every species has its own page — its scientific name, how many people have caught it, how many places it has been seen — and every catch you make turns into a collectible card with its own stats. A better, rarer catch makes a better card.
And then you duel
Take the cards from animals you have actually caught and battle them — against a friend, or against the field for a quick practice match.
How a duel works:
- Build a roll from your caught animals and lay them across three lanes.
- Challenge a friend by name, or pick duel the field for an instant match.
- The battle plays out on its own — no waiting on turns. Win the most lanes and you win the duel.
- Every duel is provably fair: the outcome is decided by a fixed seed, so anyone can replay the exact same match and check the result for themselves.
It is friendly and casual on purpose. No tokens, no buy-ins, no betting — just your own photos, turned into a game you can play with the people you follow.
Watch your collection fill in
The more you go out and look, the more your collection comes to life — caught species in full colour, the rest still waiting as silhouettes. Badges mark your first catch and the groups you complete.
And a promise: your exact location is never published. Adding a place is always optional, and any public coordinates are kept deliberately coarse.
