gm lions!

Woke up with a skip in my step this morning and decided to read some Jim Rohn.
Ran into this quote and decided to bring it here to share with you (and maybe discuss)

You get paid for bringing value to the marketplace - Jim Rohn
We can also understand "marketplace" as "the world", "society" or... "HIVE ecosystem". See where I'm going?
Now, it takes time to bring value to the marketplace. We need to invest our time to receive something else in exchange, right?

For those of us working an hourly wage... "Oh I make $25 an hour" I'd like to invite you to rethink about that. You don't actually get paid for that time, so to speak, otherwise you could just show up and watch the time go by, or hell, stay home for that matter. you get paid for the value you provide to the business you work for during that hour.
Now, let's think about your $HIVE goals and your #leo goals.
You may have powered up some $HIVE today for #hpud. If you did, you probably got a snazzy badge like this one:

You also may have thought to yourself "man I'm really far away from my goal of reaching 50,000 HP" You might also be complaining to yourself (or to others) about how small the upvotes you receive are.
But let's ask ourselves this: Is it at all possible that we can become twice as valuable and make twice as much money in the same time?
The answer of course a resounding YES.
First, there is an element of discovery to the content you create on HIVE platforms. People need to know you exist. So let folks know you're here. This is true for legacy web 2.0 platforms like "X" (I'm going to have trouble shifting away from "Twitter") TikTok and the like, and it's also true for decentralized, non-VC funded, censorship-resistant, self-sovereign platforms like the the ones built on the HIVE blockchain ecosystem. You have to let people know you're here. How?
Start leaving some comments or replies. Add your analysis, wit or insight though. Nobody cares for a comment like "nice post".
This will slowly but surely increase your visibility within the community.
What else?
focus on adding value.
How?
well, here are just some quick ideas:
Organize a web3.0 meet-up in your neighborhood.
Call some Hiveans and if there are none, be the only one there and teach people about self custody and circular economies. heck, you may even bring in a few new Hiveans to the community. Do you think you might get some upvotes for that? I certainly think you would.

Add value to CTT Podcast
If you've tuned into @cttpodcast, you may have heard that you can get rewarded for:
- Creating content that promotes CTT on web 2.0 platforms
- Sharing some of the videos that @bil.prag and @neopch are making
- Adding value to the show by making jingles like the @stickupboys
- Sharing your hard drive space for SPK network and earning rewards for that.
Ctt Podcast is live every Saturday on Spaces, and Twitch. Of course, the recorded episodes are uploaded to @3speak:
Design stuff
If you're a designer, you can create images, GIFs (Jiffs?) or motion graphics. Create the logo for a campaign or podcast. create visuals for the already existing shows like Crypto Maniacs.
Look at some of the amazing work that folks like @doze make:

Create tutorials
This is something I want to get into myself. Web 3.0 is still in development and self-custody requires you to keep your own keys safe. Coming from web2.0 universe, self-custody is something that has to be learned. Help people learn how to create and manage their HIVE account through written step by step guides or video walkthroughs.
Help people learn Hive Keychain on their mobile phones to pay for stuff using HIVE or HBD.
Help people use the @v4vapp with merchants that accept Bitcoin over Lightning.
Here's a little tutorial I put together to help people use the HIVE-BNB bridge created by the amazing @khaleelkazi and the @leofinance development team and Paraswap:
It's simple, but it could potentially help someone who is not as tech savvy use these decentralized tools of the future.
Create music events
The music community is a lovely bunch here on HIVE. You may have seen initiatives such as the weekly @hiveopenmic. participate, elevate the quality of the contests and curate other performers.
I started the HIVE Stage project a few years back which seeks to onboard musicians to HIVE and showcase their talent through live sessions in the studio. you can check out @recording-box if you'd like to see my work.
These are just some quick ones that I can think of off the top of my head, but there are thousands of ways you can add value to the community.
Of course, if you're a developer, the possibilities grow exponentially.
Do you have any ideas on how to bring value to the marketplace and grow together?
Don't be shy, share some!
Have a happy week folks and crush it!
