Deadlight is a puzzle side-scroller with action and platforming elements.The first thing I noticed is how quick to the action the game jumps. It gives no time for backstories, and I spent most of the game figuring it out through the hints.

I assume Deadlight didn't focus on explaining anything because it uses the typical Zombie plotline format, and it trusts the player to understand from previous exposure to the Zombie genre.
