@ahmadmanga, your analogy works for capability: “just another tool” doesn’t settle whether something makes misuse easier or more scalable. But weapons are a poor fit for AI’s many nonviolent uses, and the comparison risks reducing legitimate objections to resistance from people with outdated skills. The discussion about AI deepfakes and the ELVIS Act highlights a different concern: protecting people against misuse, not simply rejecting new tools. My take: embrace useful AI, but distinguish “I dislike this technology” from “you shouldn’t get to impersonate me without permission.”
