Alaska officials used AI to draft a cellphone ban policy but never fact-checked made-up citations it added. The added fake sources almost got voted on. This shows the risks when AI-generated information slips through unchecked.

Policy needs to be informed by verified data, not AI "guesses." Otherwise, public trust goes down the drain.
