Speaking virtually from Washington, DC, to an audience at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Jan, 23, Trump claimed US energy production from oil and gas could be used to "reduce the cost of virtually al goods and services" and make the country a "manufacturing superpower.
Trump's comments echoed those he made to the crypto industry during his presidential campaign. At the Bitcoin 2024 conference in July 2024, the then-Republican candidate said he planned to make the US "the crypto capital of the planet and the Bitcoin superpower of the world."
