In a bear market, prices will go up just enough to make people think a major turnaround is happening… but then prices fall again, forming what's known as a lower low.

In a bull market, prices will drop just enough to make people believe the trend is changing… but then prices rise sharply and form a higher high.

This is the kind of sudden change that confuses and upsets many beginner crypto investors. But if you take a step back and see the bigger picture, it becomes much easier to understand.
