Not really a commodity so much as money. Think about it: energy as the basis for the economy. If we are dealing with an AI driven world, with tens of billions of AI agents handling everything, then what is the basis? To me it is compute. Of course, for that to run, we are talking about electricity.

That might be a more important unit in the future as compared to a monetary one such as a dollar or euro.
