For months and I think more specifically after the first successful season of Ahsoka, all Star Wars fans were waiting for The Acolyte, meanwhile we could enjoy other series and miniseries related to this universe or others that were broadcast on the Disney+ platform, but this series was one of the most anticipated, last week was its premiere releasing two chapters and a new one will be seen every Tuesday, until completing the 8 of its first season.
Although there are still a few weeks to complete the first season of this series, I want to share my first impressions, to start within the timeline of the Star Wars universe this series is located 100 years before the Empire, this is what we clearly point out in what we could call its introduction in the first chapter, so it is located in what is usually called the High Republic or the end of it, a time when there was peace and the Jedi were more involved in matters that were distanced from politics, were we could say that a space of police and had as far as we can see temples on different planets, plus it is appreciated only used lightsabers as a last resort.
Here it calls my attention how to try to make us perceive that this was much earlier, the costumes of some jedi are totally different from what we have seen in previous films and series, in addition to incorporating new ways of life the order, something that is already customary, but the interesting thing for me, among other things is that you will see one of the few Wookiees who were part of the order.
In these first two chapters, it is seen that there is a former Padawan who left the order, which has a twin sister, both believed dead to the other, in addition to what appears a Sith or dark user, which apparently has trained one of these sisters, which is pursuing a group of masters to materialize their revenge because apparently they did not act within the Jedi code.
Now, for those of us who are fans of this universe we know that the jedi order has suffered in time of falls and resurgences, because they have erred the way as any finite being can do and as it usually happens every bright side has a counterpart or antagonist, who seeks to end this order, so here we have mention of people who could use the force and were not Jedi.
On the other hand, I presume that in the course of this first season we will know more why, who or who are the villains and the reasons of one of the twins, Osha, to be so determined to carry out his revenge in addition to why being a user of the force uses only melee attacks and knives, because everything seems to indicate that there is a reason.
Also, I think that so far only two actors in the cast look like the Jedi we are used to seeing, in this case the actor Lee Jung-jae as Sol, a former Jedi master and actress Carrie-Anne Moss who plays the master Indara, perhaps the rest for just become knights (that's what it seems) or be padawan look quite insecure, perhaps we are facing characters that will grow throughout the series.
So far the series looks pretty good, in terms of scenery and makeup, the soundtrack is not shocking as it is in other series and as usually happens in the first seasons and chapters are placing us, introducing us to the situations, characters and others that will develop in the plot.
In summary, we still have 6 chapters left of this first season of The Acolyte, which by the way was recorded in Europe, so only at the end of the season we will know if this series has a future or not within the Star Wars universe, especially among its fans, of which many of us did not completely sympathize with chapters VII, VIII and IX of the saga, among other things because many believe that Disney has not fully understood what Star Wars is, including George Lucas himself, but if he sold Lucasfilm, we can only see the successes and failures to come.

Aunque todavía faltan algunas semanas para completar la primera temporada de esta serie, deseo compartir mis primeras impresiones, para comenzar dentro de la línea temporal del universo Star Wars esta serie se ubica 100 años antes del Imperio, esto es lo que nos señalan claramente en lo que podríamos llamar su introducción en el primer capítulo, así que se ubica en lo que suele llamarse la Alta República o el final de la misma, un momento en el que había paz y los jedis estaban más involucrados en asuntos que se distanciaban de la política, eran podríamos decir que una espacie de policías y tenían por lo que se ve templos en diferentes planetas, además de que se aprecia solo usaban los sables de luz como un último recurso.
Aquí llama mi atención el cómo para intentar hacernos percibir que esto fue mucho antes, las vestimentas de algunos jedis son totalmente diferentes a lo que hemos visto en las películas y series anteriores, además de incorporar nuevas formas de vida la orden, algo que ya es costumbre, pero lo interesante para mí, entre otras cosas es que se verá a uno de los pocos wookiees que formaron parte de la orden.
En estos dos primeros capítulos, se ve que hay una ex padawan que abandono la orden, que tiene una hermana gemela, ambas creían muerta a la otra, además de lo que aparece un Sith o usuario oscuro, que al parecer ha entrenado a una de estas hermanas, la cual está persiguiendo a un grupo de maestros para materializar su venganza porque al parecer no actuaron dentro del código Jedi.
Ahora bien, para los que somos fans de este universo sabemos que la orden jedi ha sufrido en el tiempo de caídas y resurgimientos, pues han errado el camino como todo ser finito puede hacerlo y como suele ocurrir todo lado luminoso tiene una contraparte o antagonista, que busca acabar con esta orden, así que aquí nos hacen mención de personas que podían usar la fuerza y no eran Jedis.
Por otra parte, presumo que en el transcurso de esta primera temporada conoceremos más por qué, quién o quiénes son los villanos y las razones de una de las gemelas, Osha, para estar tan determinada a llevar a cabo su venganza además de por qué siendo usuaria de la fuerza usa solo los ataques cuerpo a cuerpo y cuchillos, porque todo parece indicar que hay una razón.
Así mismo, creo que hasta ahora solo dos actores del reparto se ve como los jedis a lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver, en este caso el actor Lee Jung-jae como Sol, un antiguo maestro Jedi y la actriz Carrie-Anne Moss quien interpreta a la maestra Indara, tal vez el resto por acabar de convertirse en caballeros (eso es lo que parece) o ser padawan lucen bastante inseguros, tal vez estemos ante personajes que irán creciendo a lo largo de la serie.
Hasta ahora la serie pinta bastante bien, en cuanto a escenografía y maquillaje, la banda sonora no es impactante como lo es en otras series y como suele ocurrir en las primeras temporadas y capítulos están ubicándonos, presentándonos las situaciones, personajes entre otros que se desarrollaran en la trama.
En resumen, todavía nos quedan 6 capítulos de esta primera temporada de The Acolyte, que por cierto fue grabada en Europa, así que solo al terminar la temporada sabernos si esta serie tiene futuro o no dentro del universo de Star Wars, sobre todo entre sus fans, de los cuales muchos no simpatizamos completamente con los capítulos VII, VIII y IX de la saga, entre otras cosas porque muchos creemos que Disney no ha comprendido por completo lo que es Star Wars, entre ellos el mismo George Lucas, pero si él vendió Lucasfilm, ya solo nos queda ver los aciertos y desaciertos que vendrán.
