We have all heard at least one horror story, as well as we can write some, based on what scares us or someone we know, some are really creepy and leave us in shock, so for this participation in the proposal of September 8 in Monthly Prompts | September INLEO where we are invited to share horror stories, I want to share the urban legend of a ballerina.
Now, to put you in context, I must let you know a little of the site where the events allegedly occurred, as it is an urban, commercial and office complex with a large area of land and where the abandonment of many of its spaces facilitates events like this and more, which makes me remember that years ago a coworker, was almost raped in this place, guided by a supposed security of the place.
Preamble. A little history of Central Park
In Caracas-Venezuela there is a fairly large commercial urban complex called Central Park, it is located between Bolívar and Lecuna avenues, in the Urbanization The Count of this Capital city, Parrish St. Augustine del Libertador Municipality of the Capital District, in the vicinity of the Fine Arts subway stations which is older and then one that bears the same name which is of more recent creation.
This urban complex is huge and has two levels of stores of all kinds Banks, Supermarkets, clothing stores, shoe stores, restaurants, bakeries, pharmacies, a large conference room called Plenary Hall, two 60-story skyscrapers, which by the date of its inauguration were the highest in Latin America until 2003, six residential buildings of which one is a hotel known as Residences Anauco Suites, also has swimming academy several museums, library, conference rooms, cinema and food fair.
Urban legends around Central Park
Now, all this is located on 10 hectares of land, for those who know it we know how huge and how beautiful it was and also how deteriorated and abandoned it is now, so being so big it lends itself to many things including the occurrence of sinister and dark events, among the urban legends of this complex highlights that in their basements were released in the 70s hundreds of snakes.
A fire broke out in the East Tower in 2004 and the firefighters presume that the fire, which consumed at least 10 floors, allegedly originated in the garbage ducts, although they have never been certain.
It is also said that a girl appears in basement two of the housing development and plays with those who are there, guiding them to the place where the accident in which she died occurred.
Feminicide of La Cotufa
But the most terrifying story is that of a classical dancer who was nicknamed La Cotufa, this dancer was charming and became the object of desire of a group of men in theory foreigners, these men took her to one of the apartments of the urban complex and there they abused her and subsequently killed her, proceeding then to dismember her body and distributed it in bags.
Not finding peace after her gruesome death, it is said that La Cotufa's soul in pain wanders through the residential buildings Caroata, Catuche and Tajamar where she frightens security guards and elevator operators, it is said that she will not stop grieving until justice is done for what happened.
Many claim to have seen her and to have been frightened by this tormented dancer. What do you think of this urban legend?
Historias de terror todos hemos escuchado al menos una, así como también podemos redactar alguna, basándonos en aquello que nos espanta a nosotros o a algún conocido, algunas son realmente escalofriantes y nos dejan en shock, así que para esta participación en la propuesta del día 8 de septiembre en Monthly Prompts | Septiembre INLEO donde nos invitan a compartir hstorias de terror, deseo compartir la leyenda urbana de una bailarina.
Ahora bien, para ponerlos en contexto, debo hacerles saber un poco del sitio en el que presuntamente ocurrieron los hechos, ya que es un complejo urbanístico, comercial y de oficinas con una gran extensión de terreno y donde el abandono de muchos de sus espacios facilita sucesos como este y más, lo que me hace recordar que hace años una compañera de trabajo, casi fue violada en este lugar, guiada por un supuesto seguridad del lugar.
Preámbulo. Un poco de la historia de Parque Central
En Caracas-Venezuela existe un complejo urbanístico comercial bastante grande llamado Parque Central, está ubicado entre las avenidas Bolívar y Lecuna, en la Urbanización El Conde de esta ciudad Capital, Parroquia San Agustín del Municipio Libertador del Distrito Capital, en las cercanías de las estaciones del metro Bellas Artes que es más antigua y luego una que lleva su mismo nombre que es de creación más reciente.
Este complejo urbanístico es enorme y cuenta con dos niveles de tiendas de todo tipo Bancos, Supermercados, tiendas de ropa, zapaterías, restaurantes, panaderías, farmacias, una gran sala de conferencias llamada Sala Plenaria, dos rascacielos de 60 pisos, que para la fecha de su inauguración fueron los más altos de Latinoamérica hasta el 2003, seis edificios residenciales de los cuales uno es un hotel conocido como Residencias Anauco Suites, también cuenta con academia de natación varios museos, biblioteca, salas de conferencias, cine y feria de comida.
Leyendas urbanas en torno a Parque Central
Ahora bien, todo esto está ubicado sobre 10 hectáreas de terreno, para quienes lo conocemos sabemos lo enorme y lo bello que fue y también lo deteriorado y abandonado que está actualmente, por ello al ser tan grande se presta para muchas cosas entre ellas la ocurrencia de sucesos siniestros y oscuros, entre las leyendas urbanas de este complejo destaca el que en sus sótanos fueron soltadas en los años 70 centenares de serpientes.
En la torre Este se desató un incendio en el año 2004 y los bomberos para la fecha presumen que el incendio que consumió al menos 10 pisos, presuntamente se originó en los ductos de basura, nunca se tuvo la certeza.
También se cuenta que una niña aparece en el sótano dos del urbanismo y que juega con quienes estén por allí, guiándolos hasta el lugar en el que ocurrió el accidente en el que murió.
Feminicidio de La Cotufa
Pero la historia más terrífica es la una bailarina clásica a la que apodaban La Cotufa, esta bailarina era encantadora y se convirtió en el objeto deseo de un grupo de hombres en teoría extranjeros, estos hombres la llevaron a uno de los apartamentos del complejo urbanístico y allí abusaron de ella y posteriormente la mataron, procediendo luego a descuartizar su cuerpo y lo repartieron en bolsas.
Al no encontrar la paz tras su espantosa muerte, se dice que el alma en pena de La Cotufa vaga por los edificios residenciales Caroata, Catuche y Tajamar donde espanta a vigilantes y ascensoristas, se dice que no dejará de penar hasta que se haga justicia por lo ocurrido.
Muchos afirman haberla visto y ser espantados por esta atormentada bailarina. ¿Tú qué opinas de esta leyenda urbana?
