This is the main reason why alot of people say that school is a scam. We see so many graduates today moving around with files going from one office to the other seeking for job that does not exist. I want to base my discussion on what is happening in my own country Nigeria. White collar jobs are no longer available today and if all we do is go to school, read, write exams and come out with good grades, start searching for jobs, then I don't think we will get to any where in life. Most of these politicians you see today have bought most job opportunities and kept for their children and even the onborn grandchildren. And this is the reason why most people can't get a job anymore because no more vacancy. Even when someone dies, he is been replaced with another person immediately and the public will not even get the chance to apply for that job. Yeah some times those vacancies are announced, but is just for formality sake. Some one has been given that opportunity already.
WE NEED TO LEARN MORE THAN JUST ONE SKILLS.
With the way things are going these days I have been encouraging young people and even students to learn as many skills as possible. Why? Because they need to create jobs for themselves and not to keep moving around and aspect a job created by someone else. Before when we don't have much population like what we have today, people easily get a job. But today the story is different because we have more population and the government can't provide jobs for everyone. So we need to do it by ourselves by learning different skills like: hair dressing, tailoring, haircut, digital skills makeup and so many other skills that we can learn and make money through them.
ADVANTAGES
you will make your own money and be your own Boss. You will also provide Job opportunities for other young people in your area. You don't need to be afraid of been fired by your boss and you can go for vacation when you want as long as there is someone capable of taking good care of your job or company
