Soo, this is my first post here, pls be good to me ๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ˜‹

Soo, this Thursday that passed being the 23rd of January, 2025, I passed out from the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC), a one year compulsory program Nigerian students go through after university.

If you ask most people who have gone through this stage and program in life โ€œDid you find any bit of your one year service fun or enjoyableโ€ they would probably give you the deadliest side eye ๐Ÿ˜’ you have ever seen ๐Ÿ˜‚. Sometimes even if you ask those who havenโ€™t gone yet they would give you a hard NO!! That they are not interested at all.

I didnโ€™t get why, untill I started my own program. I wonโ€™t lie to you it has been one hell of a journey ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ. From being posted to a school to teach, to the said school not wanting to reject my posting, to finding a hotel to work at for the remaining duration of my service year(which I thought was a better offer mind you, I was sourly wrong though).

I was really disappointed in that hotel, the management is nothing to write home about woth how they treat their workers there and then the internal workers are another round of struggle. With childish and immature behaviors and characteristics flying around there, itโ€™s a surprise to me sometimes that I didnโ€™t just drop out or opt to stop going sometimes.

With everything going on in the work place and all the going to the local government up and down, I was definitely starting to loose my cool and getting tored of the whole thing as well ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ. I just had to keep going because I was almost there.

Something I can tell anyone who asks me though is I did not fully hate it. In as much as it was stressful and tiring, it also came with good things as well. This service thought me how work life can be and the various types or kinds of characters you can see in a workplace or environment.

This one year of serving my country gave me experience(work and life experience) as well as friends(very good friends ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚โค๏ธ) it gave me bonds that grew overtime and through experience ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพ๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿพ

Now, why I say I understood where those that said they didnโ€™t enjoy the program or where not a part of it was, the NYSC program took a lot out of peopleโ€™s time and want giving them the time they needed for thier personal things like maybe thier business or whatnot.

Sooo, on the last day, when youโ€™re collecting your certificate it would feel like a big breath of fresh air has left your lungs(or you released a breath you didnโ€™t realize you were holding ๐Ÿ˜‚)

Soooo, yes people, I have every right to brag and make a hell of a noise and cause disturbances because !! IT IS NOT EASY!! I AM NO LONGER AN OTONDO!! NO LONGER A CORFER SHUN!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคง๐Ÿ˜†!! MAMA I MADE IT!!

Your girl is hanging her boots in style and happiness ๐ŸŽŠ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜›๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ˜‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ

Images are mine ๐Ÿ˜‰โ˜บ๏ธ

Cheers to more feats and success stories ๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅ‚
