It's Saturday again, and time for my weekly #saturdaysavers update.

Here's my table of progress for the week;

I've shown last week and the two previous ones, because I managed to find another alternative way to get a VESTS figure, using Hiverxplorer.com - both HiveBuzz and Hiveblocks are still down, although I understand @arcange is working his socks off trying to get HiveBuzz and the other things he manages back up and running.

How Did The Week Go ?

It was HPUD week, and I powered up 50 liquid HIVE (with 20 immediately delegated out to @leo.voter and @eds-vote). So the HP gain disguises the fact that actual rewards were only 3.453, which reflects the previous week of being away on holiday with no internet. It should get back to normal in the next day or two.

The HBD gain was good, but again none of it was rewards. I bought 19.036 in line with my now somewhat variable DCA plan, and 27.157 was interest.

With the dollar stabilising against the pound for now at around 1.265 dollars to the pound, this means that over the course of the year I'm starting to earn a decent amount of interest. It's a shame that under current UK law I can't apply my investment allowance or Capital Gains Tax Allowance against it, so it's all taxable.

I had my first LeoAds payout of 5.16 LEO this week, which was nice.

It's a programme I thoroughly support, because it's something that brings external capital into the Hive ecosystem in the form of companies paying for adverts, and LeoAds then distributes a chunk of that back to the individual users. I just with Leo would fix a few of their glitches and make the long-form posting experience as smooth as the one on PeakD !

There are two metrics currently in the red; number of posts, which is not surprising after a week away (but this post should push it back into the black) and the delegation to @leo.voter (which is just down to starting the calculation part-way into the year and should sort itself out after a few more weeks).

All in all, I'm happy with the way the week has gone, and I'm starting to seriously think about keeping my Leo Premier subscription going for a bit longer. It should push me to post more to optimise the value I get from it.

If you're not familiar with SaturdaySavers, it's a fabulous initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account, where we all support each other in getting to our savings goals.

If you are one of my friends reading this (or just someone who tripped over one of my posts), I really recommend this as a great community that's well worth joining.

I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #saturdaysavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.

So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
