I have had headaches. The kind that just won't let up, the ones that make you feel like the world is pressing in on you. But you don't have the time for them. That's not a motivational quote or meant to be something that pushes you through your pain. It's real. The world doesn't care about your headache. Neither does your competition.
You're being outpaced by people who don't care how they feel at any given moment in time. They're not scrolling through social media for a dopamine hit or taking a nap because their head hurts. They're just out there-grinding. And when you're busy taking it easy, you're falling behind.
That's the brutal reality.
I recall one day, it was just overpowering; I was out of my mind stressed, and the headache was crushing. I sat there thinking, oh boy, I need a break.
And I didn't take one.
But the reason why is because worse than the headache was somebody out there working harder than me thought. That's the mindset shift. Pain doesn't stop progress unless you let it.
You need not put a drag on something that is already going slow. Now, it is the same with arguments, distractions, even Instagram. Once you are onto reaching your goal seriously, you cannot afford such indulgence of time in them. It's a sheer waste of time. If you are going to dissipate energy, do so on those things that get you where you want to be.
