Isn't it funny how time flies? My cousin facetimed me today and after our usual chit-chat we began to reminisce about our childhood days.
Back in the days, we grew up together and the fact that he was a boy made me learn so many DIY paper craft unlike most girls who were likely to play with dolls and the girlie things, I made craft of different kinds.
I remember how I made boat whenever it was raining and then drop it inside the little body of water in our compound, I also remember making jet with paper, butterflies, football pitch, and a lot more.

Back then, we played soccer together on our paper football pitch over the weekend and we used old buttons from rags as the football, we used biro cover to pass the ball around to each paper until it gets to the goal post.
After he hung up, I felt the urge to go back in time, which was to recreate the paper football pitch using the left over fluorescent paper I had at home, luckily I had the green color left, perfecto!
The materials I used in creating this paper football pitch are;
Leftover carton
Fluorescent paper
Pencil
Correction pen
White paper
Gum

The first thing I did was to cut out the size I wanted for the football pitch on the carton and I did the same for the fluorescent paper.
I began to use my correction pen to highlight the football pitch like center spot, touch line, half-way line, corner arc, the midfield, box eighteen, centre circle, goal lines and the likes since the white paper I had wasn't sufficient.

For the goal line, I measured 7cm in breadth and 13cm in length and I did the same for the other side using my pencil after which I traced it out with my correction pen.

I also crafted a corner flag, using a sticks of broom and paper as covering, I made four of them which was placed appropriately on the pitch using my gum.

I proceeded to craft my goal post, with the white paper, I folded in two equal halves after which I folded each side like a triangle as seen on my pictures.

It came out perfect for my goal post, after which I secured on the pitch with my water gum on both sides.
Being a fashion designer, I have a very little bead which was used as my football. ๐

The final step was when I used my gum to attach the whole project (the football pitch) which was on the fluorescent paper to the carton to make it durable and thicker.

This paper project made me nostalgic and I loved how I felt, I am glad I had a very blissful childhood, and it's sad today that most kids don't have time for things like this, they all wanna be adults already hehe, if only they know... (Shrugs) but it is what it is.
It's time to play on the pitch, see ya!!
