Mother's Day is coming up this week and for that reason this edition of the Hive Ladies Community Quiz #184 is dedicated to the queen of the house whose questions this time belong to @trucklife-family.
1️⃣ Motherhood is both rewarding and challenging. What has been one of your biggest lessons since becoming a mother?
Motherhood is like a deep water river that you have to cross without knowing how to swim but, once you are in its channel you defend yourself as best you can and learn how to swim to get afloat, in the end you don't know if you did it right; however the actions of the children will prove a lot of parenting.
In that eventuality, we endure all kinds of events that we stop being women, we forget about our looks or appearance and we sacrifice ourselves for the children; they are the priority. We change in all aspects and most certainly we give our best for the purpose of doing a good job.
When we become mothers, we become better people.
2️⃣ Do you think that women have a very clear role in society today? If so, what is that role?
The role of women has transcended the four walls of the home; they are not only housewives but also workers and professionals, in many cases equaling men in any field. Perhaps there is still much to achieve, but at present there are several achievements or advances in society.
I think there are many achievements, in the past women were only dedicated to the care of children and household chores. Today we are responsible for the home and work; we are entrepreneurs and occupy important positions in society, for example, capable of running a company or driving a truck.
3️⃣ What is your favorite memory of your mother (or someone who played that role in your life!)?
My saintly mother was a submissive woman, generous and dedicated to the family. She never talked to us about what her life was like, she said it was very sad. At the time of writing, it came to my mind when facing cancer, she played with her children and laughed a lot; they were pleasant and happy moments for her and for everyone, even my dad would get into the game.
Another of my joys was to see her recover from cancer but it was only for a certain time, after the diagnosis she was with us for four years. I remember she passed away at home and two of her children were sick with fever. In the last stage we all suffered when we saw her moaning and crying because of the severe pain.

Esta semana se acerca el Día de las Madres y por tal motivo esta edición del Concurso comunitario Damas de Hive n.° 184 está dedicado a la reina de la casa cuyas preguntas en esta oportunidad corresponden a @trucklife-family.
1️⃣ La maternidad es a la vez gratificante y desafiante. ¿Cuál ha sido una de tus mayores lecciones desde que te convertiste en madre?
La maternidad es como un río de aguas profundas que debes cruzar sin saber nadar pero, una vez que estás en su cauce te defiendes como puedes y aprendes a nadar para salir a flote, al final no sabes si lo hiciste bien; no obstante las acciones de los hijos demostrarán mucho de la crianza.
En esa eventualidad, soportamos toda clase de sucesos que dejamos de ser mujeres, nos olvidamos de nuestro aspecto o apariencia y nos sacrificamos por los hijos; ellos son la prioridad. Cambiamos en todos los aspectos y lo más seguro es que damos lo mejor de nosotras con el propósito de hacer un buen trabajo.
Cuando nos convertimos en madres, nos convertimos en mejores personas.
2️⃣ ¿Crees que la mujer tiene hoy un papel muy claro en la sociedad? Si es así, ¿cuál es ese papel?
El papel o rol de la mujer ha trascendido de las cuatro paredes del hogar; no solo son amas de casa sino también trabajadoras y profesionales, en muchos de los casos igualando a los hombres en cualquier ámbito. Quizás haya mucho qué lograr todavía pero en la actualidad son varios los alcances o avances en la sociedad.
Pienso que son muchos los logros, en el pasado las mujeres solamente se dedicaban al cuidado de los hijos y los quehaceres del hogar. En la actualidad somos responsables del hogar y el trabajo; somos emprendedoras y ocupamos cargos importantes en la sociedad, por ejemplo capaces de dirigir una empresa como de manejar una gandola.
3️⃣ ¿Cuál es tu recuerdo favorito de tu mamá? (¡o alguien que desempeñó ese papel en tu vida!)
Mi madre santa era una mujer sumisa, generosa y dedicada a la familia. Nunca nos habló de cómo fue su vida, decía que era muy triste. Para el momento de escribir, se vino a mi mente cuando al enfrentar el cáncer, jugaba con sus hijos y se reía mucho; fueron momentos gratos y felices para ella y para todos, hasta mi papá entraba al juego.
Otra de mis alegrías fue verla recuperarse frente al cáncer pero solamente fue por cierto tiempo, luego del diagnóstico estuvo con nosotros cuatro años. Recuerdo que falleció en casa y dos de sus hijos estábamos enfermos con fiebre. En la última etapa sufrimos todos al verla quejarse y llorar por los fuertes dolores.
