Almost 9000 HP... What A Journey!
It's really been a long time since I wrote a post about the Hive Power Up Day: it must have been 4-5 months at least, maybe even longer....
And today I was even almost forgetting it was the HPUD!
Luckily, this morning I stumbled upon a post by @stewie.wieno that reminded me of it, and since I've been a bit absent from Hive these past few days, I caught the opportunity and figured I'd take advantage of this celebratory day to review a bit my progress here on Hive.
In fact, today is also the day that marks exactly two years since I made the decision to commit myself to Hive in an effort to try and build something, growing my HP as much as I could and trying to invest in as many projects as possible.
And after two years I cannot be but extremely pleased with how well things have turned out!
Also thanks to today's Power Up - of 100 Hive - I finally made it into the top 1500 Hivers with the most HP!
The system still needs to update, but with my HP I should be around the 1480th position :)
A truly outstanding achievement for me and one that I never, ever expected to reach, considering that 2 years ago I had 50 HPs... what a crazy difference looking back at it!
With all this HP I am now able not only to gain valuable returns from the projects I enjoy most - #leo and #holozing, to name a couple - but also to curate other users' posts with quite some gratification.
At my disposal I have in fact almost 4400 HP, which is about half of my HP, with which I can leave an upvote that, at 100%, is worth 5 cents...
Does that sound like very little?
To me it seems like plenty, considering that leaving a like on Twitter - yes I know it's called X now, but Twitter sounds much better - or on Youtube is worth... 0 cents!
And let's also consider that every day I can distribute enough upvotes to generate 0.50 cents in rewards... in a year that's more than $180, just for liking other users' posts... it seems incredible to me honestly!
Too bad my enthusiasm is not shared worldwide and HIVE is particularly suffering from the current market, with a price that is really low, especially compared to the so many features that this platform offers.
The current value is really low, almost depressing, but my goal disregards the value of HIVE and therefore remains unchanged: I want to grow as much as I can on this chain and achieve greater and greater results!
If this one day will also be matched by a nice economic reward, then my journey will have been a great success.
But what if economic rewards never comes?
Well, as far as I'm concerned it will still have been a memorable adventure because between the people met, games explored, and milestones achieved, Hive for me is already much more than just an investment :)

Quasi 9000 HP... Che Viaggio!
Era davvero da tanto che non scrivevo un post durante l'Hive Power Up Day: saranno stati 4-5 mesi almeno, forse anche di più...
E oggi mi stavo pure per dimenticare che fosse l'HPUD!
Per fortuna stamani sono incappato in un post di @stewie.wieno che me lo ha ricordato e, dato che in questi giorni sono stato un po' assente da Hive, ho colto l'occasione e pensato di sfruttare questa giornata di festa per fare un po' il punto della mia situazione qui su Hive.
Oggi infatti è anche il giorno che segna due anni esatti da quando ho deciso di impegnarmi su Hive per provare a costruire qualcosa, accrescendo i miei HP il più possibile e cercando di investire su quanti più progetti potevo.
E dopo due anni non posso essere che estremamente soddisfatto di come siano andate le cose!
Grazie anche al Power Up di oggi - di 100 Hive - sono finalmente entrato tra i 1500 Hivers con più HP!
il sistema deve ancora aggiornarsi, ma con i miei HP dovrei essere intorno alla 1480esima posizione :)
Un traguardo per me davvero eccezionale e che mai e poi mai mi sarei aspettato di raggiungere, considerando che 2 anni fa avevo 50 HP... che differenza assurda a ripensarci!
Con tutti questi HP adesso sono in grado non solo di ottenere utili vantaggi dai progetti che più mi piacciono - #leo ed #holozing, per citarne un paio - ma anche di curare con una certa soddisfazione i post degli altri utenti.
A mia disposizione ho infatti quasi 4400 HP, che rappresentano circa la metà dei miei HP, con i quali posso lasciare un upvote che, al 100%, vale 5 centesimi...
Sembrano pochi?
A me sembrano una infinità, considerando che lasciare un like su Twitter - sì lo so che ora si chiama X, ma Twitter suona molto meglio - o su Youtube vale... 0 centesimi!
E consideriamo anche che ogni giorno posso distribuire un numero di upvotes tali da generare 0,50 centesimi di ricompense... in un anno sono più di 180 dollari, solo per mettere like ai post degli altri utenti... a me sembra incredibile onestamente!
Peccato che il mio entusiasmo non sia condiviso a livello globale ed HIVE stia soffrendo particolarmente l'attuale mercato, con un prezzo che è davvero tanto basso, soprattutto a fronte delle tantissime cose che offre questa piattaforma.
Il valore attuale è davvero basso, al limite del deprimente, ma il mio obiettivo prescinde dal valore di HIVE e resta perciò immutato: voglio crescere quanto più possibile su questa chain e raggiungere risultati sempre più grandi!
Se poi questo un giorno corrisponderà ad una bella soddisfazione economica, allora il mio viaggio sarà stato un grande successo.
E se invece la soddisfazione economica non arriverà mai?
Be', per quanto mi riguarda sarà stata comunque un'avventura memorabile perchè tra persone conosciute, giochi esplorati e traguardi raggiunti, per Hive è oramai molto più di un semplice investimento :)
