I hope you’re all doing well. Checking in from Venezuela here, where the power situation has been quite critical, keeping me away from the game for a while. But today—thanks to the electricity gods—the power came back on, and I was able to play a few matches! So, the "expert at losing" is back to tell you all about how I have fun.
I wanted to share my exciting (and slightly bumpy) adventure from today with you. I logged in and headed straight for the Daily Roulette-"Lux's Favor"-hoping to score something good and start off on the right foot.
And what a surprise I got! The roulette wheel stopped on the coveted skull icon. I won the "Pit Challenge"! This means I have the chance to fight an arena champion to earn extra rewards. The game notified me that I had received 200 sparks and gave me the option to "Leave now" or "Continue."
With my adrenaline pumping, I decided it was my lucky day. The announcement appeared at the top of the screen: "PIT CHALLENGE AVAILABLE!" I didn't think twice and dove into the adventure.
Upon entering, I was introduced to three formidable opponents: "On the Mountain" (Easy), "The Great Leronski" (Normal), and "Free Eagle" (Hard). Like any self-respecting Venezuelan-and confident in my skills -I decided to go for the "Normal" level: "The Great Leronski." After all, how hard could it be, right? Wrong! Perhaps I should have played it safe and chosen the easy level, but oh well-what's done is done!
Here you can get a closer look at my unfortunate choice: "El Gran Leronski." A guy with sunglasses, a red cape, and fiery fists that didn't bode well. But oh well-the decision was made, and there was no turning back.
The game very kindly reminded me that I had only one chance to complete the challenge and asked if I wanted to continue. Driven more by pride than strategy, I hit the "Let's go!" button.
Finally, we reach the battle screen. The rules are confirmed: a massive mana cap of 99! And the "Standard" modifier-meaning there are no special rules to save me. It’s a duel to the death with swords and magic!
I sized up my opponent and realized I was in for a tough fight. "El Gran Leronski" was a behemoth with 10 shield and 60 health, plus 4 speed and 8 attack. My main cards didn't seem to have much of an answer for him. It was clear an epic battle awaited me... and likely a painful defeat.
And that’s how it all began. "The Great Leronski" in his corner, ready to dominate, and my team (including my summoner, Thalgrimore) in the other, bracing for the inevitable. The battle was intense and fast-paced, and-just as I had feared-my opponent proved exactly why he was at that level. There wasn't much I could do against such might.
In short: I took a leap of faith—right into an empty pool. I didn't manage to beat "The Great Leronski," and the "Pit Challenge" completely got the better of me. But you know what? I had the time of my life. I got to play my favorite game again after days of darkness (literally), and that in itself is a huge win!
