I recently discovered a wonderful corner of our blockchain called Hive Grove, and I couldn't resist planting my first virtual seeds.
It all started with a kind invitation from my good friend @angeluxx. She introduced me to this beautiful initiative, and after reading the details, I was captivated by the project's underlying philosophy.
What is Hive Grove? More than just a game, a return to our roots
Created by fellow Hiver @shiftrox, whom I’ve already had the pleasure of visiting in his own grove to see the concept firsthand—Hive Grove isn't your typical game designed solely to enrich someone, nor is it dominated by the competitive "pay-to-win" model.
Its true purpose is to revive the beautiful essence of early social networks. Remember when we used to visit friends' profiles just to leave a wall post saying, "Just stopping by to say hi"? This game brings back that kind of intentional interaction. The premise is beautiful and powerful: "Caring for something every day creates a habit. And habits create community."
The Birth of My Grove: @arribaeltelon
When I first entered the game, I received my first Seed Tree—in its seedling stage—completely free of charge. The gameplay is simple but requires consistency: every 24 hours, we need to "water" our tree (which essentially means making a claim). This grants us a small reward in HIVE tokens and allows the plant to evolve through five stages: Seedling, Young, Mature, Elder, and Ancient. The further it evolves, the better the reward multipliers become! I was so excited about the idea that I decided to take it a step further on my first day: I expanded my plot to a fifth space and went to the store to buy my first oak tree, a strong and robust species that offers better base yields.

As you can see, my seed tree has already received some love from the community with 2 active assists, which reduces the waiting time for the next watering, while my Oak has just started its countdown. Watching them grow fills me with a very special kind of excitement!

One of the game's most fascinating tools is the Network tab. The system analyzes our actual interactions on Hive: votes, comments, followers and maps out a visual representation of our closest connections. From there, we can click directly through to visit our friends' gardens.
Interaction in Hive Grove is designed to prevent spam. Every milestone matters: a user can only help the same person once a day by entering their grove, choosing a tree to water, shaving an hour off the wait time, and leaving behind a sticker and a short message.

Su verdadero propósito es rescatar la hermosa esencia de las primeras redes sociales. ¿Se acuerdan cuando visitábamos los perfiles de nuestros amigos solo para dejar un mensaje en el muro que decía "pasé a saludar"? Este juego rescata la interacción intencional. La premisa es hermosa y contundente: "Cuidar algo cada día crea un hábito. Y los hábitos crean comunidad."
El nacimiento de mi Arboleda @arribaeltelon
Al ingresar por primera vez al juego, recibí de manera completamente gratuita mi primer Árbol de semillas en etapa de plántula. La dinámica es muy sencilla pero requiere constancia: cada 24 horas debemos ingresar a "regar" nuestro árbol, lo que equivale a hacer una reclamación, lo que nos otorga una pequeña recompensa en fichas HIVE y permite que la planta vaya evolucionando a lo largo de 5 etapas Plántula, Joven, Maduro, Mayor y Antiguo. ¡A mayor evolución, mejores multiplicadores de recompensa!
Me entusiasmó tanto la idea que decidí dar un paso más allá en mi primer día: expandí mi terreno a un 5to espacio y me animé a pasar por la tienda para comprar mi primer Roble, una especie fuerte y robusta que ofrece mejores rendimientos base.

Como pueden ver, mi árbol de semillas ya ha recibido el cariño de la comunidad con 2 ayudas activas, lo que reduce su tiempo de espera para el próximo riego, mientras que mi Roble acaba de iniciar su cuenta regresiva. ¡Verlos crecer me llena de una ilusión muy particular!

El sistema analiza nuestras interacciones reales en Hive (votos, comentarios, seguidores) y dibuja un mapa visual de nuestras conexiones más cercanas. Desde allí podemos hacer clic directamente para visitar los huertos de nuestros amigos.
La interacción en Hive Grove busca evitar el contenido basura (spam). Cada hito es significativo: un usuario solo puede ayudar a una misma persona una vez al día, ingresando a su arboleda para elegir qué árbol regar, regalándole una hora menos de espera y dejando grabado un sticker y un mensaje corto.
