Hello Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. Although money is not directly linked to our comfort but it makes sure our comfort and peace of mind. It is your wealth that designs a map about your fame. In developing countries, there are mainly two races of people either they belong to Elite class or they belong to poor class. Elite class has been dominating over poor class. It not only dominants but also enjoys many facilities and tax remedies from governments. It is very deadly but real condition in many under developed countries that there is unequal distribution of tax on both classes from government while elite class pays less tax as compared to poor class. It is the big hurdle in the progress of a country where a strong has a concession on a tax while weak not only has to pay tax but also gets punishment and penalties if he is unable to pay from government.
Basic Theme for Taxation
The tax revenues are essential to make a democratic government strong. The collected tax are consumed to build a progres map in a country. The progress of a country depends on smooth process of tax collection as well as on healthy use of these tax. As taxes are the money collected by General Public hence it is the basic right that government must consume these taxes on the welfare of the public. It is the basic theme that is implemented in many developed states. I belong to under developed country where there is a reverse condition. Government Bodies collected record taxes and used these taxes in their personal lifestyle. They didn't care either first aid facility is present in Hospital or not but their rooms will remain decorated with modern lights and heavy edibles. It is open corruption that should be condemned on each level.
Current Tax Situation in Pakistan
The Current HL Weekly Topic is much similar to the present situation in Pakistan. Our one of the famous Political Party is on the strike for the tax release on poor class because tax should be implemented on rich people that can afford. After budget 2024, the government of Pakistan has been failed badly in facilitating to poor people. Rather it has been a big helper for corrupt rich people. It was the main reason that many citizens in Pakistan were doing protests against these mafias. 90% Pakistanis are paying taxes on the behalf of corruption by wealthy people.
Although all are not equal but some government bodies are such means that they collected half of the tax amount from the rich people and provide them relaxation from full tax on their utility bills, super malls as well as on air travelling.
My Perspective About Tax
As taxes are collected from General Public hence they should be consumed purely for their welfare. If someone manipulated them for their personal use then FBR (Federal Revenue Board) should file cases against these people. There should be an equal tax ratio for everyone. If rich people are happily willing to pay more tax then these people should be appreciated. A man crying for two time meals should be facilitated by government and should get tax release from the government. There will be no richest who will get tax relaxation from the government. Being Muslim, I believe that,
Tax is the Zakat donated by General Public. Zakat purifiers our whole wealth and is the source of winning God's Mercy.
If there is a smooth system for circulation of tax, then major part of the tax should be used to the deserving people that are dying for the thirst. I believe that if a man who died due to starvation then the head of the government should be slaughtered in the public because it was his responsibility to provide him meals. Sadly, there is no care about our tax and it is used where corrupt mafias want. I hope, this bad system will change one day. I shall request to each Hivian, "Please pay as much tax as you can and also protect these tax as well. If your tax is consumed in the country's progress then it is good otherwise we should trace the person who is making corruption and must punish them". I don't know how many years it will take to change our tax system but I'm sure when a fair tax system will be implemented then my country will make progress by leaps and bounds. Ameen!
