Unable to control my greed, I moved forward. The seller had arranged the fruits very carefully. I chose some raw mangoes and dragon fruits. He began to measure the fruits with utmost compassion on a digital scale. There were polythene and plastic bags nearby. He skillfully filled the fruits into the bags. There was a smile of satisfaction on his face, which said that he was happy to be able to give people the taste of fruits through his small business.
A woman, perhaps his wife, was sitting next to him. She was also helping. It was very nice to see their small initiative. This is not just selling fruits, it is a symbol of their honesty and hard work. The taste of the fruits from this van is much more personal than the shiny fruits from the big shopping malls.
