Just yesterday I made a post about being aware is scammers and my scam experience, little did I know that few hours later, the reigning Ponzi scheme in my country was going to crashed.
I woke up by past 2am to a message from a friend that CBEX has crashed. Wondering what’s CBEX? A little back story here.
Early this year, precisely February, a senior colleague of mine intimated me on an investment opportunity that gives people trading signals kinda copy trading stuffs. You pick the signals from their telegram group and trade. You get registered with $100 minimum and you would make twice the investment by month end. At first I thought I had seen something worth investing in but I had to talk to friends and ask questions only to find out it was a Ponzi scheme.
On talking to people, I found out it had other types that were already in vogue and the most popular was this CBEX. I told my colleague that this is Ponzi scheme and I didn ’t want to get involved. He said he knows but that he hopes he cashes out some money before it crashes.
Well, once beaten twice shy, I had being a victim before, not anymore. I passed.
Last month my cousin and his wife started telling me about this CBEX again. A friend had introduced it to them. Infact the husband has already invested $500 and he wanted me to join. I told them that this is Ponzi scheme but they were convinced otherwise. They said its been there for two years.
As a matter of fact, the longest Ponzi Scheme I’ve heard of was eight months or six months and they pack up but for this one to stay for two years, it means the crash was going to be loud because they would have gotten alot of people to trust them and then many investors. I told them am not interested.
My elder brother called me two weeks ago to ask me about this same CBEX and I told him my stand and told him it’s Ponzi. Thank goodness he didn’t invest in it.
Ladies and gents, I woke up this morning to the rave on the internet. CBEX has packed up and made away with people’s money. The streets are agog with people. Infact their physical office at Ibadan, one of the states in my country has been looted by angry investors.
The investors are left stranded and everyone is trying to make away with what they can lay their hands on in their office. What’s those things worth to compare with their loss. The video say it all.

The Ponzi scheme scam made away with a whopping $822,852,811.66. That’s the scam of the year and it’s a pity that people never learn. This is not the first of this kind and yet some people never learn. @burlaj. It has finally happened. CBEX has packed up.
