It was a mystery to the entire village and till today no one can explain what happened except that the rumors had it that she had been taken by the river goddess else how would you explain that someone saved a drowning soul only to be lost in the river.
This is actually a true life story told to me by the very person who was saved from drowning. He had a very bizarre experience as a child when he was six years old. He said he was held under water by some spirits while he was drowning in the village river and there in the entire village only one person was known to have the ability to save him.
The lady dived into the water and came to where he was and rescued him and brought him to the river bank where he was resuscitated but that was the last that was seen of that lady in the entire village. No one knows what happened to her except that she was no where to be found again and the rumours have it that she’s dead, that the river took her instead. The person telling this story is in his late thirties and till date no one saw the lady again. Well strange things happen indeed.
