One minute I'm stressing over work that I've got on my plate and the next minute I find myself laughing uncontrollably because it just hit me that this is a fight people are seriously picking right now.

People are fighting to ensure they can keep working for the rest of their lives.

They must really love their jobs, right?

That's the logical explanation.

In case you're a caveman, hence can't really keep up with what I'm saying here.

Let me point you to the right direction.

Artificial Intelligence. Most times just called AI.

Probably heard of it in the movies. Sometimes it is put in a human-like figure often called a humanoid or more commonly just a human robot.

Whatever the case, AI, that's the center of all of this.

There's a class of people who are actively trying to ensure that AI doesn't happen because it will take their jobs.

I get it if you're fighting AI because it could potentially kill us all, but fighting it so we can keep our jobs?

Who really wants to always have a job?

Nobody is stopping you if you want to make some fine art in your garage, a lot of people would love to see that happen.

But it sure as hell would be nice if it was a hubby, not a job.

People cannot imagine being free from the slavery of working to death to increase "shareholders value" that they'd fight the real chance there is to abundance.

If any of them really mean well for humanity, the right move should be to fight to ensure that AI serves all, for good, not try to shut it down entirely.
