Yesterday, I almost forgot that it was Hive Power Up Day, and I forgot to do my power up. When I was about to reach my bed, I remembered it, and I powered up with the Hive I had as liquid. I have been holding a lot of liquid Hive for quite some time, looking forward to doing some profit booking if the price of Hive goes high. On the occasion of Hive Power Up Day, I was able to power up 100 Hive yesterday, and I wanted to write about it today.
I thought of doing more but I wanted to stay a bit conservative and wanted to hold more liquid Hive. The price of Hive keeps going up quite often. If I can make use of that opportunity, I can do some quick swing trades and earn some profits. My goal to reach 150k Hive power is still on and after seeing the curation rewards, it is now really very tempting to expand my Hive Power so that the more Hive Power I have, the more powerful the votes will be and it can earn a decent curation rewards which can gradually become the passive income.
From the above stats, I'm able to understand that the curation rewards are getting bigger now than the author rewards. I'm glad that the curation reward number is increasing, and it is also good news. The reason is that it is a passive income compared to the author rewards, which is an active income. I have to keep writing articles to earn the author rewards, but I can just do some curation and keep getting curation rewards. This is the best way to go for the future.
These days, I have also reduced stressing myself too much into writing. If there are days when I don't feel like writing at all, I don't write. I don't have any hard rules on that right now. I feel a bit relaxed because of this now, because on certain days it is pressure to sit and write something towards the end of the day.
I have been running a witness node, and I have been getting about a 100 from the witness node as witness rewards. This is almost sufficient for running the witness node. I was planning on running a full HAF node, but I don't think this revenue would be a good compensation for that. On the other hand, the power down is also happening on this account reducing the curation rewards I get.
