The battlefield is evolving, and with it, new opportunities arise. Training Grounds has opened the doors to limitless strategic possibilities, but what if we take it a step further? Imagine a world where every summoner, new or veteran, faces the ultimate test—not of their collection, but of their mastery. A world where true skill determines victory. Welcome to the future of PVE in Splinterlands."
🌟 Training Grounds is Here—But What If We Take It Further? 🏆🔥
Introduction: A New Era Begins
The Training Grounds is finally here, and I couldn’t be more excited! 🎉 For a long time, #splinterlands players have been asking for a way to experiment, refine their skills, and test strategies without risking their hard-earned rewards. And now, that wish has become a reality!
As a MAV tester, I had the privilege of trying Training Grounds early on the test server, and let me tell you—this mode is something special. I jumped straight into hard mode, eager to see how far I could push my skills. Every battle felt like a test of true mastery, forcing me to think differently about my strategies. The level of challenge was higher than expected, and every match gave me new insights into team compositions, counterplays, and battle mechanics.
But the best part? This mode isn’t just for high-level players—it’s a tool that benefits everyone in different ways:
✅ New players can finally experience real battles without spending money or feeling overwhelmed.
✅ Collectors and strategists can test cards they are thinking about buying, making smarter investments.
✅ Veterans get full access to all cards, creating an even playing field where only skill matters.
✅ It’s a playground for innovation—anyone can try wild, out-of-the-box combos without consequence!
It instantly reminded me of the open tournaments from the Rebellion new year, where everyone had equal access to cards and the best strategies determined the winners. That event was legendary, and Training Grounds brings back that same competitive purity!

But here’s the real question… What if we take this idea even further? 🤯
💥 And Then It Hit Me—We Have Everything for PVE! 🚀

Some ideas come when you least expect them. One morning, while running through Montjuïc, Barcelona’s Olympic mountain, I was just trying to clear my mind… but suddenly, BOOM! 💥 A realization struck me like a lightning bolt:
💡 We already have everything needed to bring a full-fledged PVE experience to Splinterlands! 💡
The Training Grounds isn’t just a practice tool—it’s a foundation for something bigger. What if we turn it into a true battleground, where players can prove their game knowledge in structured challenges? The possibilities exploded in my mind, and three distinct game modes took shape:
🛡️ 1. Single PVE - Survival Mode
🔥 Endurance meets strategy. How long can you last?
🔹 Each loss costs you the cards you used in battle. (The bot, however, keeps all its cards!)
🔹 The challenge? Win as many matches as possible before suffering 3 losses.
🔹 It’s the ultimate test of adaptability—every choice matters!
⚔️ 2. PVE Tournaments - Knockout Brackets
🏆 A new kind of tournament, where players battle through structured rounds!
🔹 Competitors face off in a knockout format, fighting their way through each stage.
🔹 Scoring system: Win battles and rack up points—only the best performers advance.
🔹 The smartest and most adaptable summoners will make it to the final rounds!
🏰 3. Guild Wars - Boss Battles
⚔️ What if guilds had to fight together against a shared threat?
🔹 20-player guild brawls, where everyone fights against the same boss.
🔹 A coordinated effort—can your guild defeat the legendary Matrix Boss?
🔹 Bragging rights, prestige, and exclusive rewards await the guilds that conquer the challenge!
The more I think about it, the more potential I see. This could redefine how players interact with Splinterlands. Training Grounds is just the first step—why not build a full-fledged PVE experience?
