Saludos amigos artesanos y comunidad @hivediy, deseo que tengan una excelente semana semana llena de éxito y muchas bendiciones, a pocas horas de finalizar el segundo domingo de mayo aprovecho la ocasión para felicitar a todas las madres en su día, espero que hayan tenido un día especial rodeadas de sus seres queridos, esta es mi entrada para la iniciativa Regala a mamá algo especial hecho por ti , cuando de dar obsequios a la madre se trata, existen diversas opciones para consentir a la reina de la casa, con un hermoso detalle hecho con nuestras manos y mucho amor, les comparto la elaboración de un hermoso bolso fucsia y dos paños a juego.

To make the bag I cut two rectangles of 45 * 48 centimeters in main fabric (drill) and two of the lining (gabardine) with the same measurements of the main fabric, I also cut two 50 centimeter strips of poly tape, with the help of a tinder I burned the ends to prevent them from fraying.

Para la elaboración del bolso corte dos rectángulos de 45 * 48 centímetros en tela principal (drill) y dos del forro (gabardina) con las mismas medidas de la tela principal, también corté dos tiras de cinta poli de 50 centímetros, con ayuda de un yesquero quemé los extremos para evitar que se deshilache.
The next step was to face right to right the main fabric and the lining fabric, pinning them together to prevent them from moving, then I faced the four pieces in such a way that the main fabric is on the top, pinned again, sewed the outline with a straight stitch, leaving the top unsewn and removed the excess seam with a zigzag scissors.
El siguiente paso, fue enfrentar derecho con derecho la tela principal y la tela del forro sujetando con alfileres para evitar que se muevan, luego enfrenté las cuatro piezas de tal forma que la tela principal quede en la parte de arriba, sujeté nuevamente con alfileres, cosí el contorno con puntada recta, dejando la parte superior sin coser y retiré el exceso de costura con una tijera de zigzag.
Then I turned the bag inside out and made a 2 cm hem on the top, by sewing the pieces facing each other inside out, the seams are hidden and we get a better finish.
Luego volteé el bolso por el revés e hice un dobladillo de 2 centímetros en la parte de arriba, al coser las piezas enfrentadas por el revés, las uniones quedan ocultas ocultas y obtenemos un mejor acabado.
To attach the handles, I measured from the center to the sides 6 centimeters and there I placed the poly tape, pinned and sewed with a straight stitch all around the contour, re-stitching the ends of the tape to reinforce the seam, then I added a heart on the front of the bag.
Para pegar las asas, medí desde el centro hacia los lados 6 centímetros y allí coloqué la cinta poli, sujeté con alfileres y cosí con puntada recta todo el contorno, repisando los extremos de la cinta para reforzar la costura, luego agregué un corazón en la parte delantera del bolso.
Towel
The making of the towel is simple, to start I cut two rectangles and rounded the ends, fold the fabric in four parts and cut the corners giving it a semi-curved shape.
Toalla
La elaboración de la toalla es sencilla, para iniciar corté dos rectángulos y redondeé las puntas, doble la tela en cuatro partes y corté las esquinas dándole una forma de semicurva.
Once the corners of the rectangles were cut, I removed the excess fabric on the edges and then I glued the bias binding, using straight stitch, making sure that the bias binding covered the edges of the front and back; as there are two towels, I used turquoise bias binding on one and pink bias binding on the other.
Cortadas las esquinas de los rectángulos, retiré el exceso de tela en los bordes y luego pegué el sesgo, usando puntada recta, revisando que el sesgo cubriera en su totalidad los bordes de la parte delantera y posterior ; como son dos toallas, en una utilicé sesgo turquesa y en la otra sesgo de color rosa.
After gluing the bias binding on both towels I added the appliqués, a strawberry and a lipstick, both were glued using straight stitch, so with these simple steps two beautiful towels are finished as a special gift for mom.
Pegado el sesgo en ambas toallas añadí los apliques, una fresa y un labial, ambos los pegué utilizando puntada recta, así con estos sencillos, pasos están terminadas dos hermosas toallas como obsequio especial para mamá.
Both projects are easy to make and depending on the creativity and taste of each person you can add more details, the simple bags are perfect and ideal for daily errands or small purchases and towels are very useful especially in hot season, I usually carry in my bag at least one towel, at the least expected moment I can need it, I hope the tutorial will be useful.
Ambos proyectos son fáciles de realizar y dependiendo la creatividad y gusto de cada persona se pueden agregar más detalles, los bolsos sencillos son perfectos e ideales para hacer las diligencias diarias o pequeñas compras y las toallas son de gran utilidad especialmente en temporada de calor, acostumbro a llevar en mi bolso al menos una toalla, en el momento menos esperado la puedo necesitar, espero el tutorial les sea de utilidad.
