Hello everyone, you're welcome to my blog today.
We'll be looking at the world from a stranger's point of view. To strangers, our life might seem very perfect and beautiful, but a lot of things might not seem the way they really are on the inside. A lot of people smile and look good on the outside, but they are going through a lot on the inside. Well, I would like to share this story with you all.

Have you ever been in a situation where you have adoptive parents? Maybe something happened, and you do not know who your real birth parents are. Well, I have a friend who has been in that situation, and I'm going to share her story with you today.
I had this friend whose name was Amaka, and she told me her story about her life with her adoptive parents. So let's dive right into it.
In Abia State, there was a family named the Okafos. They had a beautiful home, but something was clearly missing in their family; they did not have a child. There was no cry of a child for the past 10 years. The husband considered going for adoption, but the wife was never in support of it. Well, at the end of the day, her husband convinced her, and they went for adoption and got a baby girl, who is Amaka.
Amaka was loved by her adoptive father. He showed her all the care and love that he would show to a child who was truly his, but her adoptive mother had some resentment towards her; she never liked Amaka. I can never tell why, but it is normal for some women to behave that way, especially when they are waiting to have their own children.
Amaka stayed with this family for up to 5 years, and things were going well for them financially. They were thriving all around; her mother's business was going well, and her father's business was going well. The adoptive mother became pregnant.
Meanwhile, during this time, Amaka noticed that her adoptive mother always wanted a child of her own. Being a very prayerful child, she would always pray every night before she went to bed for God to bless her adoptive mother and give her her own child.
From the view of others who were not in the family, they always thought that they had a happy home. At some point, her husband didn't really know what was going on in his home because whenever he wasn't around, her adoptive mother would treat her very badly. Sometimes she would starve her and make her do a lot of house chores without feeding her properly. But whenever her husband was home, she would treat Amaka lovingly. Sometimes it was shocking to see the switch of attitude.
But Amaka stayed put and did not say anything because she did not want to spoil the family or bring enmity between her adoptive father and his wife. They had this neighbor, Lillian, who would always say that they loved Amaka so much—yes, that is true. Actually, she would always tell anybody that got to listen that they loved Amaka so much. Well, that was true because her adoptive father loved her a lot, but her adoptive mother showed people something else and did something else when she wasn't inside the house.
After some time, Amaka's adoptive mother was able to get pregnant, and she gave birth to two sets of twins—two bouncing baby boys. Amaka was so happy to welcome her younger siblings because she took this family as her own. For a girl who was abandoned by her mother in the hospital, she just wanted to stay in the place where she was loved. She still cared for the boys and made sure that they were really happy; she did everything to make sure that they did not cry or make a fuss or even make a mess of themselves as babies.
Well, after a while, it got to the time that Amaka needed to go to university. When her adoptive mother told her husband about it, she objected. She told him that he would either have to choose between her and Amaka—which one would he go with? She said they never had enough money to send Amaka to university and at the same time take care of the babies, so he should either make a choice or she would leave the marriage. Being faced with such a situation, the adoptive father had to make the choice of Amaka's university education and taking care of his family. Well, this made Amaka feel very, very bad, but as God would have it, she got a scholarship and was able to attend her university education.
To this day, people who hear about the story after it happened find it hard to believe because from a stranger's point of view, they had a perfect family—a loving family. They never knew the emotional trauma that Amaka was going through. They never knew the tough decisions that her adoptive father had to make. Even though that was not his intention, he never intended to make Amaka unable to attend school, but all things work together for good for those who believe in God. At the end of the day, she was able to attend her university and turned out to be a very renowned medical doctor.
If this story was not about a friend of mine, I would not have believed it; but sometimes life happens, and you do not just look at people and understand them. Sometimes it's not always about the stranger's point of view; it is about coming down to earth. You really know what exactly people are going through.
We all cover up our problems with our smiles and our dress code and every other thing, but deep down, we go through a lot. It really hurts when some people just say whatever they say or assume whatever they assume just because they don't know what exactly is happening within us.
It is always good to show a little bit of kindness and lower our assumptions about people and about things.
