In many places boys are given priority over girls but this should not be done because every child born on this earth should be treated same and we should raise him with love and care, rest everyone has his own destiny and it all depends on the environment in which he lives as to what his future will be.
But see, if you have such technology that you can make your children what qualities they should have in life and what they should be like, how they will look or something else, then perhaps a lot will change in the world. Because see, in a way you will know a lot about what your child will be like when he grows up and what qualities he will have or something else.
I believe everyone has at one point wanted something so bad only to get it and discover it is not really what they wanted. I have seen this play out a lot of times, I can not even count how many times I have made choices and regretted them instantly. This is because I am human and can not foresee the aftermath of my decisions.
There are things life has given me, experiences I have had, and people I have met that have made me change the things I thought I liked or wanted. These were things I never liked from the beginning until situations made me realize how valuable they are to me and because of that, it has made me understand that if I should be sincere with myself, there are choices I do not want to be given because I might make the wrong choice at the end of the day
It seems to me that a lot of things will change in the coming time and people can put a lot of things in their children as per their own calculations so that they will know what their child will be like in the future, what his appearance will be like and many other things also. See, every thing has its advantages as well as disadvantages.
The advantage will be that to keep your child safe, you can put a lot of strong genes in him in advance due to which he will not suffer from any kind of disease and you can also do a lot of things so that your child does not face any problem in the future. But in a way it has become like that you do not know what kind of child you will have.
You can kind of predict what he will be like and what qualities he will have. I feel that the child may not get any opportunity to do something on his own because he will already have all the abilities which can make life much easier for him.
Some people think that parents should have the right to have babies the way that they want. If genetic selection could prevent fatal inherited illnesses from diseases, like cystic fibrosis and sickle cell disease, we should definitely prevent them, as this would reduce suffering and increase human health. It’s using technology to alleviate pain.
However, if everyone’s “ideal baby,” it can exacerbate existing social inequalities and pave a path to future discrimination. Only the wealthiest would be able to afford genetic selection of offspring. It could also lead to a devaluation of individuals who have been “naturally” born.
