This is a story of life in a typical African home. A green plastic chair sat comfortably in the front pouch of the house. That chair sat comfortably their as it was the only chair that have survived the world war.

The particular particular chair has survived a lot like I said it has survived the civil war and papa Ada always likes to sit down on this chair everyday why he carries his radio as he listens to news to know what is currently happening in the country.

Ada had three brothers she was the first daughter and her brother that those kind of brothers that would always keep you shouting all the time any small noise you hear you will be like
emeka what did you do this time?
One thing that all of them feared it was that particular chair nobody wanted to be the one to break it or to cause any harm to the chair.

Under faithful day was in the kitchen making food while her three brothers were outside playing ball at some point they got tired and they ran back into the house emeka came back with his friends he came to drink water one of his friends who was so tired reluctantly leaned on the chair emeka screamed with the cup of water in his hand.

Guy get up from there no be you then go beat for night. His friend was like is just a chair he said no this chair was there before I was born it was there before my sister the first child of this family was born so you don't joke with it he will lock and the chair fell to the side while trying to bring it up he collided into emeka who was coming out with the cup of water and the chair broke allowed tundra crack.

I heard that sound from the kitchen and I rushed out screaming.
Emeka !!
you have finally done it. Emeka went on his leave I started begging I told him do not beg me beg your father when he's back oh you know Papa went for meeting and all you could do is to bring your friend and break his chair no problem you will face him they will flog you this night I told him.

He begged and begged and begged there was nothing we could do finally our dad came back he stepped into the compound and he did not see his chair he asked where is my chair we told him we took it to wash he said okay this one everybody is being nice nobody should break my chair I don't want to hear any stories oh we said the yes sir.

At this point my heart was about to jump right out of my chest I waited for my mother to come back and I called her into the room and told her what happened she was actually scared she said how are we going to break this news my mother went first and told him that something happened to the chair he said okay what happened we all chorused emeka's friend broke it my father almost fainted.

He matched out immediately took up his knife I started working towards emeka's friend's house we told him papa come down he said no of all things in this house to destroy it is my chair the only chair that stood beside me all through the world war and both of us survive that you people are finally taking it away from me we begged him and begged I promise to buy him another chair he said no he wanted just that one but finally he understood that they were small children and it was a mistake he pardoned him because my mother interfered I'm begged so much on his behalf.

In a typical African home do not destroy things that we are there before you were born oh if not you will be beaten up by typical African mothers.
