The art
This piece was made by a 3d printing manufacturer called MakerBot, it's a cute little Aztec warrior figurine I am not sure if it's historically accurate but looks pretty neat non the less.
I suspect this is one of the files they would include with their printer as a sample print as the setting can make a huge difference between success and failure so these pre sliced models are how a manufacturer can show the customer what the printer can do out the box and takes out the user error out of the slicing part of printing
What is slicing that's when a software takes a 3d model it slices it up into slices and turns them into code for the printer to follow called gcode this code tell the printer where and how to move how much material to put out and at what temperature.
The print
It was fairly easy to print I used some dual color silk pla (gold and pink color) I had to use some supports but they usually come off fairly easy when it's silk pla and that was the case this time.
