So not long ago I made a post about getting a Meta quest 3 VR headset and it has been great I love it and use it a fair bit and have some content I will be making with it that will be coming soon.
But there was some issue I encountered.
So I purchased the VR on Amazon a few days later it showed up I was very exited and rushed to get it going through the excitement I did not notice that the box was already opened, I pop it on and...
nothing I try to click some buttons and nothing, hmmm well that is odd is it broken, I plug it in and it starts charging so it was dead for some reason I though that was a bit odd but did not pay it no mind.
A few minutes later I put it on and it came alive the 2 controllers also dead on arrival but just standard AA batteries, I was ready to dive in but everything was in French at this point I am fairly frustrated so I vent to amazon support and they say sorry here is 34 bucks back, alright cool.
I go online and figure out how to change the language, when I do, everything finally clicks in my mind, the headset already has an account registered and the previous owner set it to French and killed the batteries.
Well as you can imagine I get fairly upset as I purchased a new unit and this is clearly not, to make matters worse it is supposed to come with a 65 dollar batman game but the previous owner already redeemed it.
I yet again contact amazon and get to complaining their solution is send it back and order another I am not please because this is damn near fraud, they say they can't do anything else I Karen my way to a manager.
And they give me a better solution, they will send me a new unit and I can send this used one back, this is a reasonable solution, the only issue is that they don't have any stock for a while so I will have to wait till the end of the month to get a fresh unit, but at lease I still can mess with this used one in the mean time, I think I will message amazon again and complain about the long wait see if I can squeeze Bezos for more pesos
