Anyway like my lame joke opener mentioned in a fucked up way, I got 2 Dos pesos coins (dos is 2 in Spanish this like 2 dollar coin) these bad boy originally from Mexico but I got them from someone local.
Also the title is like my first because this is my first circulation gold, I had some gold bullion but this type of gold is extra special to me and those are my first 2, I will end up getting more but the que will get there eventually
I would not suggest you try to do the same if you a new to the game, I got the tools to check and the knowledge.
I will share but just be mindful and I would not go beyond this size for gold with just a scale, magnet caliper setup (the minimum really).
This usually gets shared all the way at the bottom but for this one I think its better to put it up here

Thickness check!(.05 is not huge these are cheap calipers and are not not super precise also possible wear but unlikely based on appearance and weight bellow)

I did some more test later but did not document, but with all this combined I think it is fair to say that this coin is 99% real gold well not 99% purity that is at 90% but I meant I am very certain this is real gold, I don't have the expertise to say if it is a real dos pesos and not a spot on replica but honestly don't care to much as long as it is real gold lol well 90% of it at least 🤣
