The excitement surrounding Portugal's performance against Croatia was palpable. Indeed, in the first half, Portugal's momentum was almost dashed, as I witnessed firsthand.
Many of us who loved Portugal against Croatia, it could be said that Portugal had no chance of progressing to this round.
After Ronaldo was sent off, there were many changes among the other players. So, in the seconds after Ronaldo came off, their defense became even more difficult to overcome.
The crowd was elated when the referees added another 10 minutes. However! Even though they added 10 minutes later, the Portuguese club was very tired against Croatia. Judging from the last match, Portugal couldn't possibly have recovered. Perhaps they would have had to go home.
Who would have thought that in the final 5 minutes, Portugal would have won this round. It was truly extraordinary because everyone here loves Portugal.
You could also see from the crowd that they were focused throughout the match and at the end. Portugal got 2 points, while Croatia only got 1 point...
