Melee Mayhem : One of the Rules that favor the Melee Monsters

Hello Splinter nerds

Based on my opinion, I think out of the 3 modes of attacks, Melee is still the strongest because if you look at the melee monsters, especially the high mana, they are often loaded with high melee power but the disadvantage is that melee monsters can not attack from the rear position unless they have a special ability like the opportunity, sneak or charge or a special rule set that makes it possible for them to attack from any position.

One of the best moments that melee monsters shine is in battle rule that allows them to attack from any position and the rule is called Melee Mayhem

I got this one with two other rules, the second rule was unprotected which means all the monsters would be without armor and the last rule was Back to basics in which all monsters lose their ability.

I love the combination of these 3 rulesets and one thing is certain, it is the survival of the fastest another factor that can change the game is miss, monsters could miss their attacks and this could result in a loss so I had to put that into consideration when picking my teams.

The opponent came with only melee monsters and he came with his strongest but the fear of misses made me not do that and there comes why I decided to do some mix-up by using Melee and Magic monsters... the magic never misses their attacks so they were my safe bet as I don't know the summoner the opponent is likely to use.

My formation

Chaos Rear guard

I Could guess what was coming, based on the ruleset the opponent was likely to use powerful attackers and Chaos rear guard is a low mana monster with a high health base, it was the best bet that could be used in delaying the opponent's attacks even though he won't have a chance at attack and that was predicted right, it died in round 1 and it took 3 hit from the opponent team to take him down.

Coeurl Lurker

Image from thread

The plan was to use powerful monsters in the rear position and lurker is one of the strongest melee monsters with a high health base so it fit the requirement needed to take the position and it did a good job by guarding the team in round 2 before it got eliminated. I have penetrated deep into the opponent's team by then as it only remains two monsters for him.*

Coastal Sentry

Image from thread

Coastal sentry is a melee monster with a high speed so not using it was never an option, the opponent also used it and it was able to eliminate some of the opponent monsters and trigger the trample ability gotten from Possibilus the Wise summoner.

Runemancer Kye

Image from thread

I was contemplating whether to use only melee monsters or mix them up with magic and the latter won, I didn't want to risk missing my hit and the magic monsters can give that assurance hence why I had to use Kye, it has a decent magic power of four and it did well.

Nerissa Tridawn

Image from thread

Tridawn was the second magic monster that I used, It was a lower speed but that was replaced with her high magic power of 5.

Venka The Vile

Image from thread

Last but not least was Venka with a melee power of 7 which was the highest on both teams and I placed him in the last position for that reason, he should wreck a lot of havoc on the opponent team.

In the end, i won the battle with two of my monsters alive.
