This is my weekly battle mage secrets submission with the Theme Briar Patch
We are very close to finish the first month of the new calendar and also very close to finish the Splinterlands season. This season I started with a 2500 rating, so this time I have just 33 season rewards in my game chest. Previous season I finished battling in diamond League. Now again going to claim my season reward playing in Gold League. It is an alternate method. One season I claim my rewards battling in diamond League and the next season I claim playing in Gold League. In this season I never tried in modern format. In wild ranked I have already unlocked Diamond League.
Theme- BRIAR PATCH
THADDIUS BROOD AS MY SUMMONER
BATTLE RULESET AND MANA
It was just 29 Mana game play in which only four elements were active in the form of Dragon, Death, Water and Life. Due to Briar Patch, Born again and Armored up battle ruleset, it was clear that maximum card will be with magic and Range attack. There were two option Thaddius Brood and Ilthan for me to choose my summoners. Armored Up battle ruleset made me to think to use Thaddius Brood.
Briar Patch
All Monsters will get Thorn ability that will Thorn to Melee monsters.
Born Again
All Monsters will get Rebirth/ Resurrect ability after first damage.
Armored up
All Monsters will get additional two armor beyond cards and summoners stats.
BATTLE LINEUP AND TEAM COMBINATION
I was using six monsters in 29 gameplay. I was not in favour of Melee monsters that's why given priority to magic and range attack monsters. If I use life unit summoner Ilthan, then will be fail to protect from magic monsters. Finally decided to use Silenced ability summoner Thaddius Brood. To protect from Range attack I was using single monster Riftwing with Headwinds. To protect from magic attack, I was using Silenced ability monster Phantom Soldier. In Briar Patch or with magic, Range reflect monsters, I always prefer Amplify ability monster. If you will see my battle squad, then you will find that I was using two magic Monster 2 Range monsters and two Monsters without attack in the form of Lord Arianthus and Riftwing. It was a perfect team combination that help me for a comprehensive win..

DID MY STRATEGY WORKED WELL? WILL I TRY DIFFERENTLY IN NEXT TIME?
To be honest my strategy and plan worked very well. I set up my battle squad taking magic Monsters and range attack Monsters. To support this combination I was using the Silenced ability monster Phantom Soldier and Thaddius Brood. To protect from range attack I was also using Headwinds ability monster Riftwing. To make the attack ineffective, I placed Lord Arianthus at first position. High was also using Amplify ability monster in the second last position to make more effective to magic reflect and Thorn. You will see that when I finished the battle there was only single damage happened from my side. So I can say that my strategy and plan worked very well. Yes next time I will do some change according to new battle rule set.
