Saludos amigos de Hive y de @catarsis, hoy voy a compartir este catarsis con mi experiencia del mes de julio y agosto, en los racionamiento eléctricos que estamos viviendo en nuestro país Venezuela, que cada día está situación es insostenible tanto en nuestro hogares y también para los comerciantes.
Greetings to my friends at Hive and @catarsis. Today I’m going to share this ‘catarsis’ with you, based on my experiences in July and August regarding the power cuts we’re currently enduring in our country, Venezuela. Every day, this situation is becoming increasingly unsustainable, both for households and for businesses.
Cabe destacar que esto no es nada nuevo los problemas electricos, que en otros años se dió y supuestamente hubo inversión para mejorar el servicio eléctrico, aunque en ese tiempo el problema era por la fuerte sequía que afectó al embalse del Guri, que es donde se produce la energía. Es increíble que el día de ayer la presidenta encargada dijo que hubo el mayor consumo de energía eléctrica en nuestro país y nos pide que ahorremos, cuando ellos en la capital no son afectados por los cortes eléctricos.
It is worth noting that these electrical problems are nothing new; they have occurred in previous years and investment was supposedly made to improve the electricity supply, although at that time the problem was caused by the severe drought that affected the Guri reservoir, which is where the electricity is generated. It is incredible that yesterday the acting president said that our country had recorded its highest ever electricity consumption and is asking us to save energy, when those in the capital are not affected by the power cuts.
Asimismo, debemos ahorrar energía, cuando los cortes de luz eran de tres horas, ahora aumentaron a seis horas, imagínense los comerciantes que tienen sus negocios, con esta largas horas, se ven afectados, tienen que comprar plantas eléctricas para poder mantener sus productos y brindar la atención a sus clientes. Por otro lado las personas que trabajan a distancia utilizan la luz eléctrica, tenemos también que buscar otra opciones como un UPS para mantenerse comunicados.
Furthermore, we must save energy; whilst power cuts used to last three hours, they have now increased to six hours. Just imagine the shopkeepers who run their own businesses – with such long power cuts, they are being severely affected and have to buy generators to keep their stock fresh and serve their customers. On the other hand, people who work remotely rely on electricity, so we also need to look for other options, such as a UPS, to stay connected.
Para mí es que hay un consumo muy alto pero no es de la población venezolana común, es que el gobierno está explotando una mayor cantidad de petróleo que requiere una mayor cantidad de energía y entonces como dice el dicho la cuerda revienta por los más delgados que es el pueblo que sufre todos estos cortes, que no son programados, un día nos quitan la luz en la mañana, en la tardes y otros hasta la medianoche, de verdad es fuerte, cuando la quitan de noche y uno no puede dormir bien.
The way I see it, consumption is very high, but it’s not coming from ordinary Venezuelans; it’s because the government is extracting more oil, which requires more energy, and so, as the saying goes, ‘the rope breaks at its weakest point’ – it’s the people who suffer all these power cuts, which aren’t scheduled: one day they cut the power in the morning, in the afternoon, and on other days it goes off until midnight. It really is tough when the power goes off at night and you can’t sleep properly.
