Greetings, friends of Hive and @weekendexperiences. Today, I am once again participating in the initiative proposed by @galenkp, in which he presents us with several topics to choose from, express my experience, and learn about those of other users within Hive.
It should be noted that since my childhood I never had access to technology such as television, computers or mobile phones because at that time only television existed and the others were more difficult to obtain due to their high cost. I remember there was a black and white television, where we could only watch a few cartoons and children's programmes. When they showed a film for adults, my parents told us we had to leave because these types of programmes were not suitable for children.
It was completely different with my family, because the children are practically digital natives and had access to technology from an early age, through television and mobile phones. I remember that when my daughter was three years old, she liked to watch cartoons and children's music videos. Like my son, they have had technology at their fingertips, but when they were little, their access was supervised by me and their mother.
On the other hand, it is important to supervise access to websites, as this can cause insomnia and dependence on technology in children. We must therefore seek other forms of entertainment, such as toys like Lego, which allow them to build figures and develop their creativity through play. In the case of my children, from a very young age I took them walking in the mountains so that they could feel a love for nature.
Currently, my two children, aged fifteen and twelve, play football and volleyball, which allows them to develop their physical abilities and keeps them healthy, thus preventing sedentary lifestyles among young people and engaging them in activities other than technology and television.
