Saludos amigos de Hive y de @education, hoy voy a compartir con ustedes el retorno a clases en la institución educativa donde actualmente laboró, después de la tragedia que sucedió en nuestro país Venezuela.
Greetings to my friends at Hive and @education. Today I’m going to share with you my experience of returning to the school where I currently work, following the tragedy that occurred in our country, Venezuela.
Cabe destacar que la tragedia del terremoto en nuestro país Venezuela, ocurrió el día 24 de junio, ya han pasado doce días y todavía ayer ví por las redes sociales que han rescatado personas con vida debajo de los escombros, debido a toda esta situación yo pensé que las clases no se iban a retomar, pero el Ministerio de Educación, emitió un comunicado donde todo el personal docente teníamos que incorporar para realizar trabajos administrativos.
It is worth noting that the tragic earthquake in our country, Venezuela, occurred on 24 June. Twelve days have now passed, and even yesterday I saw on social media that people were still being rescued alive from under the rubble. Given this whole situation, I thought that classes would not be resuming, but the Ministry of Education issued a statement saying that all teaching staff were required to return to work to carry out administrative tasks.
Asimismo, algunas escuelas del municipio llamaron a clases con los estudiantes, el cual era algo que no estaba autorizado, por lo cual recibieron un llamado de atención por parte de los supervisores del estado, ya que todas las instalaciones de las instituciones educativas deben ser revisadas por los organismos del estado como lo es Defensa Civil, para la evaluación de los daños que hayan tenido después del terremoto. La cual me imagino lo deben certificar si están aptas o no para recibir a los estudiantes.
Furthermore, some schools in the municipality held lessons with pupils, which was unauthorised; as a result, they received a warning from the state supervisors, as all educational establishments must be inspected by state bodies such as Civil Defence to assess any damage sustained following the earthquake. I imagine they must certify whether or not these facilities are fit to receive pupils.
Por otra parte como docente y como padre, existe todavía temor al salir de nuestras casas por todo lo que vivimos en este día, gracias a Dios mi familia está bien, pero en otros estados como La Guaira, quedó totalmente destruida, con una gran cantidad de personas fallecida y heridos, no es nada fácil retornar a las aulas después de haber visto esta tragedia que sufrimos todos los venezolanos.
Furthermore, as a teacher and a parent, there is still a sense of fear when we leave our homes because of everything we have been through today. Thank God my family is safe, but in other states, such as La Guaira, the situation is one of total devastation, with a large number of people dead and injured. It is by no means easy to return to the classroom after witnessing this tragedy that all Venezuelans have endured.
De acuerdo con algunas orientaciones recibidas, se atenderán a los estudiantes que tengan algunas actividades pendientes, probablemente pueden ser a distancia para no incorporar a los estudiantes a las escuelas, para el día de mañana recibiremos las orientaciones por parte de la directiva del plantel.
In accordance with some guidance we have received, students who have outstanding work will be supported; this will likely take place remotely so as not to bring students back into school. We will receive further guidance from the school management tomorrow.
