Greetings to my friends on Hive and @weekenexperiences. Today, I’m once again taking part in the initiative proposed by @galenkp, in which he presents us with a range of topics from which to choose one, so that I can share my experience and also learn about those of other users on Hive.
It is worth noting that, as parents, we must set an example for our children so that, when they become adults, they do not copy the behaviour they have witnessed at home. Imagine if I came home every day drunk and verbally abused my wife; the children would witness this and copy that behaviour. In the future, the boys would become abusive, sexist men, and the girls would also grow up to be submissive.
I also believe that the home is the foundation for our children’s behaviour; we must instil values such as love and respect so that these children will grow up to be good citizens. Good upbringing at home is very important, because some people say it is down to the school, but that is not the case, as the school is responsible for their academic education, whilst the children’s behaviour will depend on the values instilled at home.
That is why it is important to bring up our children to be responsible and honest, as the behaviour they learn from a young age will shape how they behave as adults. We must not give them everything they ask for, as this spoils them; it is essential that we value the things we do as parents so that they may grow up to be good citizens.
