My true life story
In my early 20's, I went to a preaching campaign in an unassigned area. There, I wasn't with family or friends just with the poeple I met there. I started building a new relationship with them. Few months later, I was opportuned to met with a dear friend whom came for her 1 year service that same area. She is a nurse and a mother of 1. Though she had so many challenges in her marriage and work when I met her, but she accommodated me. She became to me like a sister, a friend and a mother. Infact, she took me in and take care of all my needs.As two imperfect beings, sometimes we don't agree with each other but she kept on encouraging me, teaching me how to live a good life. She was my senior in age and, she treated me like her younger siblings. Done with her 1 year service, she got Federal appointment to work as a staff midwife in one of the Government's Health Centers. It wasn't easy to say goodbye because of the bond we shared together.Years later, after being away from each other, she invited to where she was working. By then, am done with my preaching campaign. So, she asked me to stay with her because she needs someone to stay with her son while she further her Education in Federal Medical Center Umuahia in Abia State Nigeria.Then am not doing anything yet. So, she got me registered in one of the best saloon shop's to learn hair dressing. Not only that, I left Secondary School without having my O'level. Being an Education lover, she registered me in a special center where I obtained my S.S.C.E exams. She paid all the bills from start to the end. Oh my goodness 😲, I haven't seen such generosity before.After 3 years, I developed a serious stomach pains. She took me to various hospitals and it was diagnosed that I have appendicitis and needed to be operated wething 24 hours because without that, it will burst and it has fully riped. Before my immediate family members arrived, she has deposited money for the operation to be carried out. She even signed the documents brought by the Doctor which was to be done by my family members.After the operation, she took care of me until I was strong and healthy again. Though my family members didn't abandon me during that time of sickness but, this Lady by name Cynthia stood by my side.Let me shock you more. Then, my body cream is costlier than hers but she doesn't mind. She bought it for me with all pleasure. She really loved me with passion. It was the day that I was operated that the neighbors noticed that we are not biological sisters. The story is much, let me hold it here and share with you the lessons learnt.
Lesson about life
I learned to be generous even to poeple that I don't know because no one knows tomorrow. Not just being generous, but kindness. Infact, am nice, kind and generous today due to how I was treated by another person. So, Madam Cynthia Chioma, thought me a very big lesson about life. Treat everyone equal, don't look down on poeple rather, help them if you can. Thanks for reading and continue to learn big lessons about life.
