Life is all about experiences. Sometimes, you don't need need someone to advise you. Instead you can advise yourself based on your personal experiences in life. You might even advise someone based on your own personal experiences. But that doesn't mean you are above or doesn't need advice from anyone. The truth remains that, so long as we are alive, we are bound to make mistakes or have some decisions to make and during these periods in our lives, we might need someone to advise us on what to do. It might be a family member or dearest friend. It might be a colleague, etc. What we need is to be very careful when we are advised because some advice might be dangerous or harmful when applied when others might be useful or beneficial when applied. So, it's vice versa. It's time to tell you about my personal experiences regarding advice. First, I will tell you the worst advice I was given and how it affected my life.
Worst advice I received.
This advice caused me lots of pains that's why i tagged it my worst advice. Though it came from my best friend during my high school days. Then, I do experience pains during my monthly circle. No matter whatever medications I take, I won't be myself till 24 hours is over. I will be rolling on the floor with severe abdominal pains. No food or water will enter my mouth. I had to share my experience with my friend because it's really troubling me. She advised me to have a boyfriend. That once am consistently having sex with him the pains will be over. Then, I was still a virgin and never wanted to indulge myself in that lifestyle. First, I was afraid of getting pregnant because that's what mom told me the first day my menstruation came out. She put fears in me when she told me that I have become a woman and if I should allow any man sleep's with me and gat me pregnant, she will disown me. But my friend kept on advising me. She told me that she has same experience but since she started having sex with her boyfriend, the menstrual pains stopped. Guess what happened on my first day? After the fun, I left though was bleeding. When I get to the house, it became worst and I started having fever.
When Mom noticed that I was bleeding, she questioned and threatened to kill me if I didn't tell her what happened, I had to tell her exactly what happened. I was punished because of that and my life was affected too. How you may ask? I contacted infection from the guy which I was afraid to tell my parents when I first noticed it. It took time and money because I could be free from the infection.
My best advice and it's effect
This advice came from a trusted friend and a brother. It's an advice that affected my life in a positive way till date. When I joined Hive block chain, i was finding it hard to understand how web3 works. After my first two months, I became downhearted and inactive. I went back to web2 where I started my blogging career. I letter met with @ fokusnow who advised me to go back to hive. I asked him some questions which he gave me clear directions. Well, I listened to him and followed all his advicey and today, am enjoying my hive journey. Hive has affected my life positively. I meet new and quality friends here, I make some money here too. All these are the benefits of good advice. And am not planning to leave hive now or in many years to come. Infact I see it as a life time business.
