Introduction
Among all the topics listed in this challenge, it was this one on my title that got my attention most because, I have planned this weekend. But all my plans has been shattered. Am not just happy about it because am doing something different which I was supposed to be done in this weekend. Let me share it with you.
My plans this weekend/what am doing.
Because of the holidays, I traveled down to my State on 24/12/2023. I was supposed to travel back last weekend so that my daughter will resume schools this past week which was on 8/1/2024. But something came up and we couldn't travel again. It was a kind of family meeting between my husband and I with one of his Aunt's. She shifted the meeting on Wednesday this week. That Wednesday morning, she got an emergency and traveled down to her husband's family to rectify some family issues at hand. She pleaded with me that we should come on Friday.I wasn't happy because my child is missing schools. But I accepted to meet with her on Friday because it's very important and crucial meeting. On Thursday evening, she called me begging that I should please pardon her. I was surprised when she said that. So I asked her what's the problem. She told me that she will be traveling first thing Friday morning to Northern part of the country for her goods. Another disappointment? I sounded so weak on phone because that wasn't wath I was expecting. Just to make me happy, she sent me 5,000 NGN to manage the weekend. Though she sent me some money but that's wasn't what I needed.*So, I was supposed to see my husband's Aunt this weekend, and after that, travel back to where am leaving, clean my room, buy food stuffs, fill my cylinder and get my daughter's school things ready for Monday. But currently still in the village. And the worst part of it all is that we won't be able to see in this weekend again. It has been shifted till when she comes back from market next week.I was supposed to be in the city this weekend, meet with my family members and friends, but currently bored in the village. The only thing that is helping is Hive. That's what am using to keep myself busy and happy throughout this weekend. Am not planning to travel until she comes back. Because it will cost me much. But why am not just happy is my daughter's education.
Conclusion
I was supposed to be happily back in the city this weekend, still seeing myself in the village this weekend gat me upsets.
