A friend is someone you understand very well—a person who you know what she is capable of doing. You should be able to stand by your friend in times of trouble. There is this popular saying that a friend in need is indeed a friend. If there is something I value so much, it is my friends, because they are always there for me.
Coming down to the topic: if my friend tells a blatant lie to her parents about where she was last night, what will I do and why?.
Well, if my friend is lying to her parents about the previous night, I will not do anything. At the moment, she is lying to her friends. I will try my possible best not to look at her because, if I do, I will start laughing because I know that she is lying to her parents. We have known each other to the point that we know when we are lying. Second, I will never be involved in the conversation, no matter how the parents try to involve me in the talk. I will only tell the parent that I will talk to her, and I will excuse myself from the place.
After her discussion with her parents, I will ask her some questions: Why did she have to sleep outside? When did she start sleeping outside? Why didn't she tell me that she wouldn't be coming home? I will make her realise that we have been friends for a long if there is a reason why she will not come back home; otherwise, she should call or text someone so that we will know that she is safe first. I know when she is lying, and whenever she is telling the truth, she should better tell me the truth about where she wanted to be last night; if not, I will cut the relationship. I know she values our relationship, and she will tell me where she spent the night.
If I let her know that her parents love and care for her, I will make her realise that her parents couldn’t sleep the night that I came over to her place because her parents kept calling. I will make her understand that her parents are after her safety, and whatever makes her sleep outside isn’t worth it. that if there is any reason she will not be home, she should try to call the parents to let them know and not give them a sleepless night.
I will make her understand that the world is no longer save and that no matter what the situation is, she should never sleep outside. I will make her understand the importance of being honest, especially to her parents, and that lying to them is very bad and that she should be sincere to them.
I will make her understand that I love her, that I am talking to her, and that I will not want anything to harm her. I value our relationship so much, which is why I care about her well-being and safety.
