Good day, amazing people of the Hive blockchain, and happy new month! Welcome back to my blog; this is another edition in the #ladiesofhive community. Topic: If your life had a title like a Netflix series, what would it be?
Wow, see this topic. I went into imagination. I pictured my life being a title on Netflix. It will surely be the best-selling movie in town. It will be the talk of the town. If my life really had a title like a Netflix series, it would be Girl Child Ambassador. You will ask why this title; I have seen a lot of girl children suffer because there is no one who they can talk to and who will fight for them.
Since I was a kid, I have always been an advocate for a girl child. I have this friend of mine who was moralised by her stepfather; also, the man threatened to kill her and her mom if she ever told the mom. I noticed that every day she comes to school, she is always in her own crying. Each time I ask her what the problem is, she will walk out at me. She is my very good friend. I need to know what is happening to my friend. One day, she asked me if she could trust me. I nodded. She shared her story with me, and I promised not to tell anyone. Inside me, I need to save my friend.
I have an aunt who works with human rights. I told her what my friend is passing through, and we made an arrangement to visit her house with some policemen. When we came, the living room was locked. Luckily for us, the kitchen door was open, and we passed through the kitchen door. My aunty and the police couldn’t believe what they just saw. They arrested the man and put a call across to the mother of the child. She should not believe that someone who was supposed to be a father to the child is taking advantage of the child.
The mother was so great that I saved the daughter. She was so disappointed that all this was happening under her roof and she never had an idea of it. Since that day I took it upon myself to be an advocate for the girl child. Many of these kids are being abused, moralised and maltreated because they don’t have anyone to talk to.

I have been advocating for this young girl for a long time now. I am very happy doing that. I have handled a lot of cases when it comes to girl children. I am so happy I am always winning the cases.
I try as much as possible to create awareness for these kids, educate and enlighten them. I find out that most of them fail to speak up because they are ignorant.
When it comes to the girl child, I am their advocate. I run programmes to enlighten and educate them on the things they need to know. My mission is to raise up strong, confident and brave women and not weaken them. It is the right time that the nation will understand that every girl child deserves equal opportunity and treatment.
