Raising up a child is not easy because it comes with a lot of responsibility. The biggest decisions that parents have to take are how and where their kids will receive the best education. Will they be battling with a lot of thoughts if they enroll them in a traditional school where trained teachers follow an approved curriculum from the government or homeschool them so that they will have control over what they learn? Whether traditional or homeschool, both have their advantages and disadvantages; it all depends on the child and the family's resources.

Traditional schools are not all about academic education; they are more than that. Here the kids are taught a lot of things. Here the kids are provided the opportunity to interact and build relationships with other children. Like I said earlier, this traditional school is not all about reading and writing; they expose our children to other activities such as sports, baking, and so on. I see traditional school as the foundation of every child; here they are taught how to handle difficult moments, be accountable, and take responsibility for their actions. These skills are important because surely these kids will have to interact with different kinds of people.

Traditional schools have qualified and trained teachers with the right educational resources. They are well trained, so when a child is struggling with education, they will source means to make learning easy for the child. Traditional schools also provide equipment that will make learning easy, such as libraries, laboratories, and other resources needed for learning.

In life, there is nothing perfect, and I don't expect a traditional school to be perfect. Most times, parents and guardians may feel that they don't have the right over what their kids are being taught. It is okay for them to disagree on certain school curricula. The truth is homeschooling provides parents full control over what their kids are being taught. Parents can decide on the subjects that their kids will learn, and the parents will be able to adjust their lessons according to their child's interests and abilities. Homeschooling makes learning and teaching flexible; the kids will be able to explore subjects beyond the government curriculum and be more creative. Here the parents will create a learning environment that will suit their kids.

Homeschool comes with many responsibilities. Parents need to give in their time, knowledge, resources, and so on. Homeschooling is not always easy because it can be demanding. I understand the fact that parents want to have full rights on what their kids are taught. Homeschooling will really affect their social lifestyle; they will not be able to interact and meet people.

It is not about if traditional school or homeschooling is the best; every child is unique in their own way. A child can be good in a traditional classroom because they enjoy learning or reading in a group. Another child may perform better at home because they are taught individually. Parents should always try and understand their children's personalities. It is not about controlling where the child learns, but the goal is for the child to be knowledgeable. For me, both can be a good choice if done properly.
