Greetings All . Hope you are all doing well . Its been a while since I wrote a post here . It was a busy couple months and weirdly My procrastination has been at my peak too 😂 . But today I just had to break the silence because something magical happened —performing with my band at the iconic Fort Kochi Beach in my hometown.
There's something special about performing in your hometown, and I could feel that anticipation building from the moment we started setting up our equipment for my gig here with the band "Thakara " .
Fort Kochi Beach, has always been a landmark I cherished growing up in Kerala. Now, standing on stage with my bandmates, testing microphones and adjusting levels under the midday sun, I couldn't help but feel a sense of homecoming.
After wrapping up the soundcheck, we retreated to our hotel—a cozy little place with warm hospitality that reminded me why Kerala is called God's Own Country.
I tried to nap, but excitement kept me awake. I found myself scrolling through messages from friends and family who were planning to attend .( And Yes My whole Family Did come to see me play ) . Then as evening came we all started getting ready for out performance .
When we rolled back to the beach in the evening, The place had completely transformed! and sooooo many more people than I expected came .
From the first song, The energy from the audience was electric, especially with so many familiar faces out there. There's a different kind of confidence that emerges when performing for people who knew you before the music—who remember your first awkward performances at school functions or the old school rock band days.
It was a beautiful experience .
After the Gig , we headed back to our hotel and decided to just chill and relax at the café .
Crashed into bed that night completely exhausted but with the biggest smile. I've played some cool venues before, but nothing will ever top playing on the beach where I always used to chill in my childhood days , with everyone who matters watching. :)
