Since the new Rewards System was introduced in Splinterlands, leaderboards are more fluid and players rise through the ranks more easily. This is essentially due to the elimination of leaderbords, strong players who avoided advancing to the higher leagues to accumulate victories and obtain rewards, hindering the advancement of everyone else.
The recent update has eliminated these rankings and above all players will no longer be able to decide whether or not to move up to the higher league because this now happens automatically. Personally, before the update to the new rewards system, my season ended in Diamond I, I was rarely able to go beyond that.
Today however, for the first time ever, I finished my season in Champions II, also obtaining a new ATH of GLINT tokens, almost 180k compared to 160k last season! A truly appreciable result and I hope to increase my score more and more to be able to make purchases from the Shop store!
In fact, new rewards have recently been introduced, aimed at Soulbound cards: it is now possible to purchase cards that guarantee a common, rare, epic or legendary card! It is clear that the cost is different for the type of paper chosen. The legendary card costs 25k GLINT, certainly not cheap, but every player is guaranteed to get a safe legendary card, and a 2% chance of getting it in the Gold version.
However, I like the team's new strategy, the goal is to entice players to buy and stake $SPS, since it is the best GLINT multiplier that the system recognizes. Furthermore, this season there is another new feature: the 50% bonus of GLINT points will also be applied to WILD, while the calculation of the double GLINT score redeemable at the end of the season for each victory obtained has been eliminated. This season will therefore be useful to understand whether the new update will bring more or less GLINT, and therefore I will be able to actually evaluate improvements.
