Splinterlands is an online collectible card game using the blockchain technology. Every user will need cards to play the game, these cards or assets are NFTs (Non-Fungible Token) which can be traded. These cards is used to play against other players. Now every card will have the unique ability and they are divided between Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. The more the ability, the more it can help you to win the games and the more expensive it becomes.

Bwfore knowing that Set Rentals are beneficial or not let's go through what exactly is Set Rentals. In Splinterlands, now we can create the list for seasonal rentals. That means instead of creating rent for individual cards, you can create a list and give it for rent for the whole season. This is actually great to be honest, because now managing the Rentals becomes so much easy. As of today there is only one template I.e. chaos legion plus the reward cards available to list.

We can access the Set Rentals from the Market section.

So the question is whether the Set Rentals is beneficial. For a person seeking the Rentals, it is good because now they can get the whole card list as once but again the problem is that the amount might be little higher side. If I check the current market we have only the below listed Set Rentals.

As you can see the lowest price is around 190 DEC per day, that means for the whole season you have to buy for 2700 DEC. If you are playing for more and more glint rewards then paying 2700 DEC in one season is not a bad choice. But if you want to play for enjoyment and you are not playing much then paying this much amount every season is not that great.

As a person who is renting out, set rentals more than beneficial it is great to reduce the headache. Previously we used to rent out the individual cards and thus it automatically gets rented but again we have to adjust the price as per the start of the season or at the end of the season. But since the Set rentals is for the whole season, there is no changing the price and thus you can set once and enjoy the rent benefit.

The only catch here is that you should have all the 146 cards which is needed for the set rentals then only you can create the set rentals. Might be in the future there will be more ability to change the number of Rentals or anything but at the current state this is the state of the set rentals. If I remove the monetary benefit, Set Rentals is actually beneficial for managing the Rentals. You don't have to manage it and thus you can create it once and enjoy the rents if someone rents out it.
