Splinterlands is an online collectible card game using the blockchain technology. Every user will need cards to play the game, these cards or assets are NFTs (Non-Fungible Token) which can be traded. These cards is used to play against other players. Now every card will have the unique ability and they are divided between Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. The more the ability, the more it can help you to win the games and the more expensive it becomes.
I have been playing in the modern format for this season and I find it really tougher than Wild at least this is the case for me. I think the main reason which everyone knows is the summoners and monsters which were better in Wild. It might be the different case for others but for me in Wild format there were some cards which were right fit for every game and they were doing wonders by making me win some good games.
This season was not good for me as I played in the Modern and I have reached only the Silver 3. Now I would have hoped for Silver 1 but the opponents have the better card than me and I was not winning most of my games. I have a lot of modern cards which includes the rare, Epic and Legendary but again it feels like I am lacking some of the good cards which is the difference between winning and losing.
One more perspective could be thar a lot of people play in modern and thus making it more competitive than the Wild. Since Wild has less players, winning more games is just matter of fact. So in the next season I am thinking of going back to the Wild but will play the modern too atleast 3-5 games so that I will be accustomed to the cards.
The problem was till now I have never played the modern format and thus I didn't know all the cards and their capabilities in and out and thus I was missing some of the great cards as well as missing winning the games. So now will be playing the Wild to earn more Glint rewards and increasing my cards in the Modern and along with that will play in the modern by learning more about the cards.
So as today is the last day of this season, the new season I will surely get the Wild Pass and start playing in that from next season. This will help me to get the good Glint rewards so that I can get more cards. Till now I was focusing on more Rare cards but hopefully I will try to get one or more Epic cards once in a while to try my luck. Glint shop is good because you can choose what exactly you want in your team. Be it rare, Epic or Legendary. Since the legendary is too expensive for me as of now, will not target that as of now.
